The New York Jets officially placed offensive tackle Mekhi Becton (knee) on Injured Reserve on Tuesday. Becton is scheduled to have surgery with Dr. Neal ElAttrache within the week, and he'll miss all of the 2022 season. It's a tough turn of events for the former first-round pick who played in just one game last year due to an unrelated knee injury. The 23-year-old was moved to right tackle at training camp this summer before suffering the season-ending knee injury. George Fant, who played well in Becton's absence at left tackle in 2021, will open the year as the starting left tackle. However, the Jets could be without second-year quarterback Zack Wilson (knee) after he had knee surgery on Tuesday.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBallerRead More News
