DraftKings, FanDuel Daily Fantasy Basketball Picks (6/16/22): Today's Top NBA DFS Lineups

Stephen Curry - NBA DFS Picks, Daily Fantasy Basketball

The top daily fantasy basketball lineup picks for DraftKings and FanDuel on June 16, 2022. Juan Carlos Blanco provides NBA DFS analysis and sleeper picks for building optimal DFS rosters.

After a remarkable Game 5 win, the Warriors are on the cusp of another NBA crown as they travel to TD Garden for Game 6 on Thursday night. Boston has only gone 6-5 at home this postseason, so there's certainly reason to believe Golden State could seal the deal on the road.

In what will be the first of two potential elimination games in this series, the rotations should continue to be very tight and the path to DFS production fairly predictable on either side, keeping our suggestions fairly static when compared to Game 5.

This article will provide you with my daily fantasy basketball lineup picks for DraftKings and FanDuel on 6/16/22.

DraftKings and FanDuel Captain/MVP - NBA DFS Lineup Picks

Stephen Curry, GSW ($17,400 DK; $16,000 FD)

Curry went into Game 5 averaging 34.3 points, 6.3 rebounds, 3.8 assists, and 2.0 steals per game while shooting 50.0 percent, including 49.0 percent from three-point range, and then he finally turned in a clunker. Curry went just 7-for-22 from the floor, including 0-for-9 from three-point range, over 37 minutes. Naturally, Curry has more than enough talent to author a major bounce-back effort, especially with the Larry O'Brien Trophy within reach. As such, he remains an excellent candidate for the top multiplier spot on either site despite the elevated salaries and poor showing Monday.

Jayson Tatum, BOS ($16,800 DK; $15,500 FD)

Tatum was able to make good on his promise to be more productive in Game 5, as he posted a 27-point, 10-rebound double-double that led to 47.5 DK/41 FD points while shooting 50.0 percent. Tatum posted his only tally of over 50 fantasy points in the Finals thus far back in Game 4 at home, and he boasts a 57.5 true shooting percentage and 28.0 percent usage rate at TD Garden in 11 postseason games thus far.

DraftKings and FanDuel Utility Plays - NBA DFS Lineup Picks

Jaylen Brown, BOS ($9,800 DK; $14,000 FD)

Brown produced his second poor shooting effort of the series in Game 5, as he drained just five of 18 shots on his way to a so-so tally of 34.8 DK/32.8 FD points. The talented wing can still make up for any sluggish offensive efforts with his ability to check off every other box on the stat sheet, and he bounced back from his prior poor shooting night in Game 2 with a 9-for-16 tally at TD Garden in Game 3. Brown carries a 58.7 true shooting percentage and 26.2 percent usage rate during his 11 postseason contests at TD Garden, and he should naturally be heavily involved with everything on the line Thursday.

Andrew Wiggins, GSW ($8,200 DK; $12,500 FD)

Head coach Steve Kerr switched up to an even smaller first unit than usual beginning with Game 4. Not only has that strategy led to two wins, but the removal of Kevon Looney from the starting lineup has also helped lead to a whopping 29 rebounds for Wiggins in that pair of contests, which has helped him average 47.2 DK/45.4 FD points over that span. Wiggins just went off for a series-high 26 points in Game 5 as well, and he should once again play a prominent role as both scorer and rebounder in a potential championship victory, especially with the Celtics posting a middling 50.2 percent rebounding rate at home during the postseason.

Others to consider: Marcus Smart, BOS ($8,000 DK; $13,000 FD)

DraftKings and FanDuel Value Plays - NBA DFS Lineup Picks

Klay Thompson, GSW ($7,600 DK; $10,500 FD)

Thompson went into Game 5 putting up a solid 17.3 points, 2.5 rebounds, 2.0 assists, and 1.0 steal over the first four games despite shooting just 35.2 percent, and he proceeded to turn in his sharpest game of the series by going 7-for-14 from the field on Monday, including 5-for-11 from three-point range. The effort led to 33.8 DK/32.6 FD points, strong returns for his current salaries. Thompson's typically scoring-reliant fantasy production always gives him an element of risk, but as a tournament value consideration, his upside is above question.

Al Horford, BOS ($6,600 DK; $10,000 FD)

After posting 21.8 DK points in Game 5, Horford has scored over 20 fantasy points in at least one site in all but two postseason games dating back to Game 4 of the first-round sweep of the Nets. Horford took only six shots in the Game 5 loss, but he drained 50.0 percent of those attempts to boost his series success rate to 57.1 percent overall, including 57.9 percent from behind the arc. There's certainly a chance Horford takes on a more aggressive offensive role given the stakes at play Thursday, putting him in play at his extremely reasonable salaries, especially on DK.

Others to consider: Draymond Green, GSW ($7,000 DK; $11,000 FD); Derrick White, BOS ($6,000 DK; $8,500 FD)
