The Houston Texans selected LSU cornerback Derek Stingley Jr. with the No. 3 overall pick in the 2022 NFL draft on Thursday night. He was a consensus All-American at LSU as a true freshman. Stingley is ultra-talented, tall, long, fast and basically everything defensive coaches look for in a defensive back. He had a Lisfranc foot injury that limited him in his final college season, but he was cleared physically by doctors, and the Texans obviously looked into his medicals before taking him this high in the draft. Houston had plenty of needs coming into this year's draft after not having a first- or second-round pick last year, but Stingley will surely bring plenty of talent to a secondary has been torched often in recent seasons.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBallerRead More News
