emmanuel clase fantasy baseball rankings closers draft sleepers MLB injury news

RotoBaller's 2025 fantasy baseball closer and relief pitcher rankings for roto leagues (January updates). Use our tiered RP rankings to win fantasy baseball drafts.

Welcome back! At RotoBaller HQ, we continue our rankings articles series and pump out fantasy baseball content daily. Today, our MLB team bring your our early 2025 fantasy baseball closer and relief pitcher rankings and tiers for 5x5 mixed roto leagues. Should you spend a high pick on a closer? Saves can be scarce and volatile at times, but the good news is that we saw 22 relief pitchers convert 20 or more saves.

Ryan Helsley led the majors with 49 saves, followed by Emmanuel Clase with 47. The biggest news for closers during the offseason was Devin Williams being acquired by the New York Yankees. Williams was named the team's closer after signing a one-year, $8.6 million contract with New York to avoid arbitration. In other news, the Cubs traded for Ryan Pressly this offseason, while the Dodgers signed closer Tanner Scott. Use our relief pitcher rankings below during your drafts and check out our MLB closers and saves depth charts, updated throughout the season.

The closer and relief pitcher rankings below are specifically designed for traditional 5x5 Roto Mixed Leagues (click here for points leagues, dynasty leagues, and prospect rankings). We also have many other tools and resources to help you win in 2025. We've worked hard to keep track of all off-season moves to get you covered for your fantasy baseball drafts with our 2025 Fantasy Baseball Draft Kit. It includes various fantasy baseball tools and exclusive articles/projections for different formats.
