BALLER MOVE: Add in All Leagues
ROSTERED IN: 55% of Leagues
ANALYSIS: Somebody explain to me why the hell the New York Jets traded away a draft pick in exchange for James Robinson, please. Even if that's just a fifth/sixth-rounder, it's a waste nonetheless considering Robinson has been nearly out of the Jets rotation pretty much since his arrival in NYC, and last Sunday saw him entirely scratched.
The beneficiary, of course, was UDFA Zonovan Knight –as it's been the case for three weeks and counting. Knight, who signed with the Jets in October and didn't make his debut until Week 12, has been an absolute beauty on the football field for the Gang Green. He scored 12.3 PPR points in Week 12, then 16.8 one week after that, and he's now coming off another 15.7 RB1-level outing.
Knight rushed the rock 17 (!) times for 71 yards and his first touchdown as a pro. He didn't feature heavily on pass plays with a 2-for-2 receiving line for six yards at Buffalo. That said, Knight entered last weekend having been perfect at pass-catching duties (8-for-8) and he's now a perfect 10-for-10 for a total of 68 receiving yards over his three NFL games played to date.
Zonovan "Bam" Knight will retain his upside ROS as the coaches are convinced he's the guy going forward after finding his gem-like talents in a rather unexpected way. Knight has carried the ball 14, 15, and lastly 17 times for at least 69 yards each time and he is locked into the RB1/RB2 role (depending on the play ran) in the Jets' backfield. Must-roster, must-start in all leagues entering the fantasy playoffs.
