Zay Jones's fantasy football start 'em, sit 'em picks for Week 13 (2023). Our advice on whether you should start or sit Zay Jones for fantasy lineups.
BALLER MOVE: Sit in 12+ Team Leagues
POSITIONAL VALUE: WR4
ANALYSIS: Jacksonville Jaguars wide receiver Zay Jones had a productive first season with the team in 2022. However, his role on offense took a hit after the Jaguars acquired Calvin Ridley. Therefore, it’s no surprise that the veteran wide receiver went undrafted in most fantasy football leagues this year.
Yet, Jones was a popular waiver wire target after Week 1. The former East Carolina star had five receptions on seven targets for 55 receiving yards and 14 half-point PPR fantasy points. Furthermore, he had an impressive receiving touchdown in the win over the Indianapolis Colts.
Unfortunately, the veteran wide receiver has struggled to stay healthy in 2023. He has missed six games, including four of the past six contests. Furthermore, Jones has scored 15.3 total fantasy points since his impressive performance in Week 1.
The veteran is the WR108 for the season, averaging only 5.9 fantasy points per game. In the two games since returning from a knee injury, he has five receptions on seven targets for 30 receiving yards and 5.5 fantasy points.
Jones has an appealing fantasy football matchup tonight against the Bengals. They have surrendered 32.8 fantasy points per game to wide receivers over the past three weeks. However, his lack of consistent work on offense since Week 1 makes Jones unstartable in all season-long leagues.
