Zach Ertz is a fantasy football waiver wire pickup option for tight ends. Target him as a free agent add off waivers for Week 12 of the 2024 NFL season.

ANALYSIS: Washington Commanders tight end Zach Ertz has had a solid season. The veteran tight end is the TE11 for the year, averaging 7.3 half-point PPR fantasy points per game. While Terry McLaurin has been Jayden Daniels' go-to target, Ertz has seen at least seven targets in three of the past four contests.
Last week, the veteran tight end had six receptions on seven targets for 47 receiving yards, a touchdown, and 15.7 fantasy points against the Philadelphia Eagles. Ertz was the Commanders’ only consistent weapon in the passing game against his former team.

Fantasy players that need a tight end with bye weeks piling up should target Ertz off the waiver wire. The veteran has scored 11.2 or more fantasy points in three of the past five games. He should continue to see a significant target share with Daniels under center.
