Yahoo MLB DFS Advice (4/27/17): Daily Fantasy Baseball Lineup Picks

Happy  Thursday morning, or whenever you happen to be reading this. In any case there are eleven games total on the docket today and they are spread from the early afternoon on into the late evening. Two of those games are a day night doubleheader with Toronto playing at St. Louis. There are 4 evening games happening at 7:10 or later tonight and those games are the ones that are connected to the GPP's and also the ones that I'll be focusing on as a result. Yahoo has some great value options to choose from for DFS games so let's get down to business (because, as usual, it's business time).

In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy baseball lineup picks for Yahoo on 4/27/17. The DFS lineup picks will range from some of the elite players to mid-priced options and value plays on Yahoo.

You can read our FanDuel and DraftKings DFS lineup picks as well. If you have any questions or comments, feel free to reach out to me on Twitter @justinrklein.

DFS Lineup Stacks to Consider on Yahoo

The Arizona Diamondbacks against RHP Jerad Weaver at home at Chase Field. The DBacks have the highest expected run total in one of the best parks in the league and they a below average starting pitcher on Thursday night. Stack them up!

DFS Starting Pitchers to Consider on Yahoo

Chris Sale vs NYY ($58)

Chris Sale has been absolutely dominant this season as he's posted a 0.91 ERA and a 1.15 FIP with a 12.74 K/9. Thursday evening he'll face off with the Yankees at home at Fenway Park where he'll be a huge favorite and against the lowest projected run total. I expect Sale to deliver elite ratios and K's in a likely win.

Ricky Nolasco vs OAK ($31)

Ricky Nolasco is a solid play tonight? Ricky Nolasco is a solid play tonight! At just $31 Nolasco is the best value starting pitcher on the slate and gives a much higher floor than some of the more enticing options like Taijuan Walker. Thursday night against the A's at the pitcher friendly confines of Angel Stadium at Anaheim Ricky and the Angels are big favorites at home. Nolasco could get dinged for some runs, but should post decent ratios and K's in a likely win. The fact that I'm also rostering some Angels is a good thing.

DFS Infielders to Consider on Yahoo

Catcher (C) - Chris Iannetta vs SD ($8)

According to the Rotoballer MLB Lineup Generator Chris Iannetta has the highest projected score, is the best value and is far cheaper than some of the other options at catcher tonight. That's a pretty darn good trio of facts for a thin DFS slate.

First Base (1B) - Paul Goldschmidt vs SD ($21)

Goldy has been hot and gets to face off with Jerad Weaver Thursday night at the hitter's paradise of Chase Field. Although he is the most expensive option at first base he is still the second best value and of course he has the highest projected score. In other words he's worth paying up for so join me and get him into all of your lineups.

Second Base (2B) - Ryan Schimpf at TEX ($8)

Schimpf has had a tough start to the season, but much of it is actually bad luck as his BABIP is a frightening .091 thus far this season. Yikes! Despite the horrendous batted ball luck Schimpf has actually impressed with his career high walk rate that is nearly 20% (19.7% to be exact) and the fact that he's still gone yard three times. On Thursday night he'll face one of the more HR prone pitchers in Taijuan Walker at Chase Field, which is one of the best hitter's parks in the league.

Third Base (3B) - Jake Lamb - vs SD ($18)

Lamb has destroyed RHP in his career to the tune of a .214 ISO and a 115 wRC+. Tonight he'll throw Jerad Weaver who used to be really good but is now below average. Not only that, but Jake gets to face him at home where his career ISO goes up to .229 against northpaws.

Shortstop (SS) - Xander Bogaerts vs NYY ($15)

X marks the spot at shortstop Thursday night as Bogaerts and the Red Sox play host to Masahiro Tanaka and the Yankees. While Bogaerts doesn't have great numbers against Tanaka and isn't at his best against RHP he will be leading off for a strong offense in a hitter friendly park. When you also factor in that he can run and steal as well as hit you start to understand the value that he brings to the table in the DFS game on a night with such a thin slate of games.

DFS Outfielders to Consider on Yahoo

AJ Pollock vs SD ($19)

Pollock at home at Chase Field leading off against Jeard Weaver is a slam dunk. AJ has a wOBA of .346 at home against RHP and Weaver is a below average RHP. On a night when the Diamondbacks are projected to score a lot of runs in a hitter friendly venue against a sub par pitcher you should definitely consider getting their lead off man into your DFS lineups as well.

Kole Calhoun vs OAK ($11)

Calhoun is a great value play at just eleven bucks when he's facing a RHP at home and hitting out of the second slot in the batting order in front of some Trout guy. In his career against RHP Kole has an ISO of .171 and a wRC+ of 116.
