Xavier Worthy fantasy football start 'em, sit 'em picks for Week 2 (2024). Should you start or sit Xavier Worthy in your fantasy football lineups?
BALLER MOVE: Start
POSITIONAL VALUE: WR3/Flex (For Now)
ANALYSIS: Rookie Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Xavier Worthy made a big impact in his NFL debut, racking up 20.8 PPR fantasy points and scoring two touchdowns, one receiving and one rushing. Worthy showed off the blazing speed and versatility that gives him a week-winning upside.

He famously broke the NFL Combine record for the 40-yard dash with a 4.21, and his burst was on full display in Week 1. Worthy has the added benefit of playing for one of the best offensive minds in all of football, head coach Andy Reid, and the best quarterback in the NFL, Patrick Mahomes.
Worthy is deserving of a start, but considering his volume (just three total touches), he's a risky play. He could have bust games, especially when fellow WR Marquise Brown returns. Coach Reid's system is famously difficult for rookies to master, and Brown will command a significant role in the offense when he returns.
There is quite a bit of target competition for Worthy. Tight end Travis Kelce, the aforementioned Brown, and Rashee Rice are significant target earners, and Worthy's extreme efficiency with his touches fantasy points-wise is sure to come down to Earth.
However, for now, the upside is apparent, and he should be in your starting lineups.
