WNBA Daily Fantasy Lineup Picks (6/27/21): WNBA DFS Advice for DraftKings and FanDuel

Justin Carter's top daily fantasy WNBA lineup picks for 6/27/21. Expert WNBA DFS advice, sleepers & player recommendations for DraftKings and FanDuel.

Happy June 27th -- aka DJ Screw Day. That has nothing to do with this WNBA slate, but I just had to acknowledge it.

Three games on today's slate. The Sky face the Sun, then a potential Finals preview between the Storm and Aces is on deck, followed by the Sparks facing the Mercury.

In this article, I'll be providing you with some daily fantasy WNBA lineup picks for DraftKings and FanDuel on 6/27/21. These lineups picks will range from elite players to mid-priced options and value plays. Want to talk more about the WNBA? I'm always available on Twitter and always down to discuss women's basketball: @juscarts.

WNBA DFS Lineup Picks

I felt like throwing it back to the old way of doing my WNBA articles today, where I mention six players I'm interested in playing and talk about just those three. I'm...not sure why I decided to switch things back up. Maybe just because writing the same article every day can get weird.

Anyway, here are some picks.

Guard: Kelsey Plum (Las Vegas Aces) - vs Storm - DK: $7,600, FD: $5,100

I want to pay up at forward on this slate, so I'm looking at cheaper guard options.

Like Kelsey Plum! The Aces have a pretty narrow rotation right now, regularly giving just seven players minutes. That alone makes many of their players strong plays, but factor in that Plum has taken double-digit shot attempts in three consecutive games and scored a ridiculous 32 points in one of those. Sure, the Storm are a tougher matchup than the teams she's played lately, but she did score in double figures in both of her games against Seattle back in May.

Guard: Kaila Charles (Connecticut Sun) - vs Chicago - DK: $7,000, FD: $5,500

Jonquel Jones remains out because of EuroBasket. Jones last played on June 5th. Since then, Kaila Charles has been on fire:

That's her DraftKings numbers, by the way, and you can see from them that Charles' salary took a $1,500 leap between the last game and this one. That's a big leap, but also she's been a consistent source of scoring with Jones out and is getting some heavy, heavy minutes right now. I'm not really sure that changes against Chicago since...well, two of these four games have been against the Sky! That seems like a pretty good argument in her favor, right?

Guard: Karlie Samuelson (Los Angeles Sparks) - @ Mercury - DK: $4,300, FD: $3,500

Looking for a deep sleeper on this slate? Then maybe consider L.A.'s Karlie Samuelson.

Not as well known as her sister Katie Lou, Samuelson is getting some run with the Sparks after not playing in 2020. She's coming off her best game of the season, shooting 5-for-5 in 16 minutes against the Mystics, scoring 13 points and adding two rebounds and an assist. She was 3-for-3 from deep. The Sparks need a...ugh, I hate to say it...spark off the bench, and Samuelson looked like she could be that player the last time she was on the floor.

Forward: Breanna Stewart (Seattle Storm) - @ Aces - DK: $11,500, FD: $9,200

Oh hey, it's Breanna Stewart, who is somehow not the most expensive forward on the FanDuel slate!

Stewie averages 44 DK points per game this season. In 15 games, Stewart is averaging 20.9 points and 10.0 rebounds per contest, plus 2.7 assists, 1.1 steals, and 1.7 blocks. She really, really knows how to fill up a stat sheet.

And she's been even better against Vegas. In two games against the Aces this season, Stewart averaged 27 points and 12 rebounds per contest on 47.5 percent shooting. She's cooled off just a little since then, but Stewart remains the highest-ceiling DFS play on...well, pretty much any slate.

Forward: Brittney Griner (Phoenix Mercury) - vs Sparks - DK: $11,200, FD: $9,300

This seems like it could be one of those Griner games -- you know, the ones where she faces a team that's lacking size inside and she just goes off.

Full disclosure: Diana Taurasi will be back for Sunday's game, but returning from a chest injury after not playing since May 21st has me fading Taurasi and still expecting Phoenix to run things through Griner.

The Mercury have had a week off, but their last two games before that break were against the Sparks. What did Griner do?

30 points and 10 boards in the first game. She followed that up with a bit of a letdown, but even then she still had 14 points, eight boards, and two blocks on her way to 30 fantasy points. So...Griner not at her best was still a good play.

Forward: Amanda Zahui B. (Los Angeles Sparks) - @ Mercury - DK: $8,200, FD: $5,400

Foul trouble has been an issue for Zahui B., and she fouled out on the 18th against Phoenix after just five points and six boards. But in the game before that one, Zahui stayed on the floor, playing 35 minutes with 19 shot attempts, scoring 15 points and adding seven boards and two blocks.

Zahui is a great play with a high ceiling if she doesn't pick up early fouls. She's a much worse play if she can't stay on the floor. But three of her last five games have gone well, so this is a risk that I'm willing to take.
