BALLER MOVE: Target Around ~60 Overall
CURRENT ADP:~79
ANALYSIS: Will Fuller V should be in line for a bigger workload heading into 2020 after the Texans traded away superstar wide receiver, DeAndre Hopkins. He already put up solid numbers in 2019 by hauling in 49 of 71 targets for 670 yards and three scores in just 11 games. That only helped him rank as the WR53, but considering he missed a third of the year that was actually not bad at all. In fact, his 12.2 PPG ranked a much better WR38 making Fuller a legit WR3/FLEX play.
The concerns with Fuller all come down to his availability, as he often gets himself in trouble. Throughout four seasons as a pro, Fuller has managed to miss a total of 22 games and has yet to complete a full 16-game schedule. Truth be told, if he could ever play a full season, we may see some ridiculous numbers out of the former Notre Dame prospect.
Fuller has solid metrics in terms of air yards as he averaged 91 per game in 2019 and accounted for 23% of the Texans' overall air yards. These ranked him in the 88th and 77th percentiles of the league, respectively. These numbers should come as no surprise considering he had 10 catches of 20-plus yards in 2019.
While Houston also brought in Brandin Cooks for 2020, he should not get in the way of the deep threat ability Fuller brings to the table. The biggest concern for Fuller will be the injuries, and he is almost certain to miss time at some point in 2020. Assuming he stays on the field at all times, PFF has a projection of 204 PPR points going Fuller's way in 2020, which would rank him as the WR28 league-wide. That would provide a positive ROI to his owners as Fuller's ADP is currently WR34.
Fuller is a high risk/high reward selection at this position and could provide some big games (especially for best-ball players) that have the potential to foster him into the WR2 realm by the end of the year.
