Fantasy Football Trade Outlooks
Below are some fantasy football outlooks written by our NFL team here at RotoBaller, bringing you their fantasy football analysis and advice on which players to consider trading for or trading away heading into Week 8:
Breece Hall, RB, Jets
Trade Value: 62.9
ROS Rank: 26
New York Jets running back Breece Hall is a little banged up coming out of the Week 7 loss to the Carolina Panthers on Sunday, but head coach Aaron Glenn said the RB should be "fine" to play in Week 8 against the Cincinnati Bengals, according to Rich Cimini of ESPN.
It was another ugly showing for the Jets offense on Sunday in the 13-6 loss to the Panthers, and Hall had only 11 carries for 38 yards while adding two catches on three targets for an additional 14 yards through the air. Opposing defenses have not had to honor the pass at all when facing the Jets this year, which has made things even more difficult for Hall, who still does not have a touchdown through seven weeks of the 2025 campaign.
The 24-year-old is averaging 4.5 yards a carry for 448 rushing yards on his 99 rushing attempts, adding 19 catches for 164 yards. Although the Jets have a favorable matchup against Cincy in Week 8, Hall has now been held under 60 total yards in four of seven games.
Verdict: Buy low if the price is reasonable and you're in the market for a low-end RB2
Keenan Allen, WR, Chargers
Trade Value: 28.7
ROS Rank: 78
Los Angeles Chargers wide receiver Keenan Allen had a huge day in his team's Week 7 loss to the Indianapolis Colts, recording 11 catches for 119 yards and a touchdown on 14 targets. Allen was one of the beneficiaries of the Chargers' high-volume passing day, as Chargers quarterback Justin Herbert attempted 55 passes.
The 33-year-old Allen has now hauled in 44 receptions for 435 yards and four touchdowns on 65 targets across seven games this season. With Los Angeles currently playing without its top running back, Omarion Hampton (ankle), the team could continue to find itself in pass-heavy game scripts.
That would be a recipe for fantasy success for Allen and the rest of the Chargers' pass-catchers. Los Angeles will have a short week in Week 8, as they play the Minnesota Vikings on Thursday night.
Verdict: Target in trades if price is still reasonable
Tyler Warren, TE, Colts
Trade Value: 53
ROS Rank: 37
Indianapolis Colts tight end Tyler Warren caught four of five targets for 60 yards and a touchdown in the Colts' 38-24 win over the Chargers. Warren continues an excellent start to his career and has already solidified his status as a weekly top tight end option in fantasy.
Indianapolis has arguably featured the league's best offense through the first seven weeks, and Warren leads the way for them with 439 receiving yards.
The rookie should remain a focal point of the Colts' offense as they use him in advantageous spots to showcase his elite yards-after-catch ability. He'll remain a top-five option headed into Week 8 against the Titans.
Verdict: Buy for a fair price if you still can
CeeDee Lamb, WR, Cowboys
Trade Value: 82.7
ROS Rank: 10
After missing three games due to a high-ankle sprain, Dallas Cowboys wide receiver CeeDee Lamb returned to the field in Week 7 and showed little sign of rust. Lamb recorded five catches for 110 yards and a touchdown on eight targets in his team's 44-22 win over the Washington Commanders.
The 26-year-old has now hauled in 21 catches for 332 yards and a score on 32 targets across four games played, one of which he was forced to leave very early on after injuring his ankle. The Cowboys' offense is averaging over 250 passing yards and 30 points per game so far this season, which should put Lamb in a position for monster production on a week-to-week basis.
Now that he's back on the field and appears fully healthy, Lamb is a must-start fantasy wide receiver heading into his team's Week 8 matchup against the Denver Broncos.
Verdict: Buy for a fair price if you still can
Fantasy Football Trade Rankings Values
The higher the Trade Value number, the higher the priority for targeting in trades. Find your players, add up the trade values of each side of the offer, and see which side of the trade wins.
Who Should I Trade For?
Week 8 Trade Decisions. Today's focus is on specific players - TreVeyon Henderson, Cam Skattebo, Rashee Rice, Josh Jacobs, Javonte Williams, D'Andre Swift. These are some key fantasy football names heading into this week's matchups.
Using The Trade Values. This is a simple trade value tool, but very powerful. In our fantasy football trade value rankings above, you will see the Trade Value for each player. The higher the number, the higher the priority for targeting in trades. Players with a high trade value number are players that you should be targeting more in trades.
How It Works. Each week, our RotoBaller staff puts together their weekly fantasy football rankings, projections, and trade values based on their research. That information is the core data that is powering the decision-making in this trade value rankings.
How To Calculate Trades. Fantasy football managers will make 1-for-1 trades, or 2-for-3 trades, or 3-for-2 trades, or many other combinations. For each side of the deal, add the trade values together. Whichever side has a higher total number wins the trade. For example, if someone is offering you three players, add the trade values of those three players together. Does the value of those three players exceed the values of the player(s) you are trading away? If so then it's a good deal for you.
