Fantasy Football Matchup Outlooks

Below are some fantasy football outlooks written by our NFL team here at RotoBaller, bringing you their fantasy football analysis and advice on which players to consider starting in Week 7:

Josh Downs, WR, Indianapolis Colts

Indianapolis Colts wide receiver Josh Downs (concussion) is in the league's concussion protocol this week, according to Stephen Holder of ESPN. Fellow wideout Ashton Dulin (chest) also missed practice on Wednesday with a chest injury.

Downs had a strong game in the Week 6 win over the Arizona Cardinals, catching six of his seven targets for 42 yards and a touchdown, but he could be forced to miss a Week 7 contest on the road against the Los Angeles Chargers unless he's cleared from the concussion protocol later this week. If Downs is unavailable this weekend, Adonai Mitchell could be active once again as WR depth after being a healthy scratch last Sunday.

Alec Pierce would be elevated to the WR2 role behind Michael Pittman Jr. and would be in play as a WR4/flex in fantasy lineups. In the last two games, Downs has come on strong, catching 12 total passes (15 targets) for 96 yards and a score.

Kayshon Boutte, WR, New England Patriots

New England Patriots wide receiver Kayshon Boutte has returned to the fantasy radar after his impressive outing against the New Orleans Saints in Week 6. The third-year LSU product caught all five of his targets for 93 yards and two touchdowns, taking advantage of a favorable matchup against a secondary ranking at the bottom of the league when covering perimeter receivers.

While Boutte may not see another matchup as favorable for the rest of the season, Sunday's outing still has him trending upward ahead of Week 7. Boutte may be the Patriots' top scoring threat in the receiving game, and he offers the most explosiveness as a big-play option deep downfield.

In addition to being a solid waiver wire option for the rest of the season, he also has short-term streaming appeal against a Titans defense allowing the eighth-most fantasy points to wide receivers in 2025.

Isiah Pacheco, RB, Kansas City Chiefs

Running back Isiah Pacheco of the Kansas City Chiefs is coming off a high mark for involvement following last Sunday's victory against the Detroit Lions, and he could see a continued workload in the weeks to come.

Pacheco played 77% of the Chiefs' offensive snaps against Detroit, the most of any running back on the team, which was also his highest mark since Week 1 of 2024. Just more than a year removed from a broken leg, Pacheco's numbers Sunday were more in line with 2023, during which he averaged 17 touches per game.

With a solid 4.2 yards per carry so far, Isiah Pacheco could see more games like the one he just played against the Lions.

Rashee Rice, WR, Kansas City Chiefs

Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Rashee Rice's six-game suspension is over, and he will make his 2025 debut in the Week 7 divisional clash against the Las Vegas Raiders this Sunday. "He's going to play (Sunday against the Raiders).

How many snaps he'll get, (I don't know). He's been working hard. He's in good shape," head coach Andy Reid said. Rice is practicing with the rest of the team for the first time this year on Wednesday. According to ESPN's Jeremy Fowler, the Chiefs "will be allocating a heavy workload for him as soon as possible," so fantasy managers will want to get Rice back into their starting lineups immediately in a good matchup.

In addition to his six-game suspension, the 25-year-old is back from an LCL tear in his knee that he suffered in the offseason. When fully healthy, Rice is expected to be quarterback Patrick Mahomes' favorite target.

Jerry Jeudy, WR, Cleveland Browns

Cleveland Browns wide receiver Jerry Jeudy (knee) was a limited participant during Wednesday's practice session. It's never a good sign to see a player with a knee injury, but the fact he was limited is a positive sign.

It means Jeudy's knee issue isn't bad enough to keep him completely out of practice. Regardless, fantasy managers should monitor his status throughout the week.

Last week, Jeudy saw a season-high 13 targets but only hauled in five of them for 43 yards in the loss. Even if he's healthy, Jeudy should be viewed as a low-end flex option for Week 7 against the Miami Dolphins.
