Fantasy Football Matchup Outlooks
Below are some fantasy football outlooks written by our NFL team here at RotoBaller, bringing you their fantasy football analysis and advice on which players to consider starting in Week 7:
Courtland Sutton, WR, Denver Broncos
Denver Broncos wide receiver Courtland Sutton looks to rebound from a poor performance against the New York Jets as he faces the New York Giants at home in Week 7.
Maybe we can chalk Week 6 up to the jet lag the Broncos might've had in London, but Sutton will be well rested as he takes the field as the clear WR1 for their offense.
Broncos quarterback Bo Nix will certainly be looking his way as they could find themselves pressured to keep up with the Giants' offense, which just scored 34 points in Week 6 while facing the Philadelphia Eagles. Continue starting Sutton as RotoBaller's 12th overall-ranked wide receiver for Week 7.
Ladd McConkey, WR, Los Angeles Chargers
Los Angeles Chargers wide receiver Ladd McConkey is riding a wave of momentum after a remarkable seven-catch, 100-yard, one-touchdown game against the Miami Dolphins. It was his second straight week finding the end zone.
McConkey currently commands a 20% red zone target share and a 21.8% first read target share, while running the third-most routes in the league (225). Facing a banged-up Indianapolis Colts secondary, McConkey gets a favorable slot matchup, as Indianapolis allows the ninth-most points per game to slot receivers.
Even with the likely return of Quentin Johnston (hamstring), McConkey's established role and increased red-zone usage keep him highly valuable. RotoBaller ranks McConkey as WR17, making him a mid-range WR2 who should be started in all formats in this potential offensive slugfest.
Xavier Worthy, Kansas City Chiefs
Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Xavier Worthy will take on the Las Vegas Raiders in Week 7. Worthy caught two passes for 20 yards and a touchdown in Week 6 against the Detroit Lions. The speedster was on the injury report with shoulder and ankle injuries this week, but practiced fully all week and is good to go for this week's matchup.
Worthy has been the de facto WR1 for Kansas City since returning from his shoulder injury in Week 1, but it looks like he will have to relinquish that role against the Raiders. With fellow wide receiver Rashee Rice returning from suspension this week, Worthy may be less featured in the passing game. That said, Worthy and Rice win in different areas of the field, so it wouldn't be surprising to see the duo coexist. Rice's return takes pressure off and opens things up downfield for Worthy.
The Raiders have also given up the seventh-most fantasy points to opposing wide receivers this season, so both wideouts can find their share of success in this matchup. Worthy is ranked WR19 in our RotoBaller Half-PPR rankings, making him a solid WR2 this week.
Tony Pollard, RB, Tennessee Titans
Tennessee Titans running back Tony Pollard's fantasy value has started to decline following the return of Tyjae Spears, and he'll continue to face an uphill battle to produce in Week 7 against the New England Patriots. The veteran's snap share was essentially cut in half last week as Spears took on a bigger workload.
A reduced snap share is never a good sign for fantasy purposes, and it's particularly concerning when discussing one of the NFL's worst teams. Pollard no longer has volume or game script on his side, making him tough to trust in fantasy football.
To make matters worse, he's facing the Patriots, who have allowed the third-fewest rushing yards and fifth-fewest fantasy points to opposing running backs in 2025. Managers in most leagues can bench Pollard this week. At best, he is an RB3/flex.
Tutu Atwell, WR, Los Angeles Rams
Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Tutu Atwell (hamstring) was officially cleared to play in Sunday's London game in Week 7 versus the Jacksonville Jaguars. Atwell did not play in the team's Week 6 victory over the Baltimore Ravens, but he's good to go for this weekend after practicing in full on both Thursday and Friday.
Top receiver Puka Nacua (ankle) has been ruled out, so both Atwell and Jordan Whittington should have elevated roles in the passing attack overseas behind Davante Adams. Still, fantasy managers in deeper leagues shouldn't consider the 26-year-old pass-catcher to be much more than a dart-throw WR4/flex in Week 7, as he's been used sparingly in the offense so far this year.
He'll probably be a boom/bust deep threat for the Rams with Nacua out. In five games this year, Atwell has averaged a nice 41 yards per catch but has caught only four of nine targets for 164 yards and one touchdown.
Christian Kirk, WR, Houston Texans
Houston Texans wide receiver Christian Kirk (hamstring) popped up on the Week 7 injury report on Friday and was listed as a limited participant in practice.
It's unclear if Kirk injured his hamstring on Thursday or if the Texans were just giving the 28-year-old a maintenance day, but we should know more on his status for the Monday night game in Week 7 against the Seattle Seahawks on Saturday. It's worth keeping in mind that Kirk missed the start of the season due to a hamstring injury.
If it's an aggravation of the same injury and he's forced to miss this week, it would mean more snaps and targets for rookies Jayden Higgins and Jaylin Noel, and Xavier Hutchinson behind WR1 Nico Collins. Nobody outside of Collins in Houston has really been fantasy relevant this year, with Kirk catching just 10 of 16 targets for 109 yards and no touchdowns this year in his first three games with the team.
