Fantasy Football Matchup Outlooks

Below are some fantasy football outlooks written by our NFL team here at RotoBaller, bringing you their fantasy football analysis and advice on which players to consider starting in Week 15:

Tyrone Tracy Jr., RB, New York Giants

After leaving early from his team's Week 13 loss to the New England Patriots due to a hip injury, New York Giants running back Tyrone Tracy Jr. (hip) looked like he could be headed for missed time. However, Tracy Jr. was able to rest during New York's Week 14 bye, and Giants interim head coach Mike Kafka declared him good to go for the team's Week 15 matchup against the Washington Commanders. In the two games immediately before suffering the injury in Week 13, Tracy Jr. looked to be emerging. He recorded 269 scrimmage yards on 46 touches across those two weeks.

While the Giants figure to continue splitting touches between Tracy Jr. and veteran back Devin Singletary, Tracy Jr. is the higher-upside option and has proven an ability to be a consistent weapon in the pass game. Across 28 career NFL games, he's hauled in 60 receptions for 487 yards and a touchdown on 84 targets. As long as he can stay healthy, Tracy Jr. could emerge as a consistent starting running back option for fantasy managers down the stretch of the season.

Omarion Hampton, RB, Los Angeles Chargers

Los Angeles Chargers offensive coordinator Greg Roman said that he's unsure whether it would be running backs Omarion Hampton or Kimani Vidal getting the bulk of the backfield work moving forward. "It's so fluid. It could change at a drop of a hat, and I'm always going to go with the hot hand," said Roman. "You never know who that's going to be...But right now I'm seeing two guys with the hot hand, so that's a good problem to have." While that may be a favorable position for a head coach, it clouds the actual value of this backfield for fantasy.

It makes sense that LA would increase the rookie's snap share as he's further removed from injury, but if Vidal keeps running hot, the latter may get the opportunity to run away with the job for the remainder of the season. For now, fantasy managers can approach this as something of a committee, although who leads it will vary weekly.

The duo will face a tough Kansas City front in Week 15, making Hampton a mid-end RB2.

Luther Burden III, WR, Chicago Bears

Chicago Bears rookie wide receiver Luther Burden III led the team in receiving in Week 14, hauling in four of six targets for 67 yards in the 28-21 loss to the Green Bay Packers. With Rome Odunze (foot) inactive last week, Burden handled the duties as the lead receiver for the first time in his NFL career and played well against the strong Packers secondary. Burden has increased in snaps in every game since Week 11, playing a career-high 71% in Week 14.

The 2025 second-round pick is making his way up the depth chart in Chicago, and fantasy managers should be fully aware of his emergence. He faces the tough Cleveland Browns defense, which has allowed the fifth-fewest fantasy points to wide receivers this season. Week 15 will be a tough test for Burden, but he's checked every box so far, except for becoming a reliable option for fantasy managers to count on.

Bam Knight, RB, Arizona Cardinals

Arizona Cardinals running back Bam Knight has operated as the team's primary running back this season after injuries to James Conner (foot) and Trey Benson (knee). Benson's season has come to an end after not being activated off Injured Reserve within his 21-day activation window. Knight has taken advantage of his opportunities in Benson's absence, sharing backfield duties with Michael Carter and Emari Demercado (ankle).

He's handled 81 carries for 271 yards and four touchdowns while adding 22 receptions for 160 yards and one touchdown on 31 targets. It has been underwhelming production for fantasy managers, as he ranks as the RB43 with 8.5 PPR points per game, but he's scored at least 13.2 PPR points in three of the last four games. The 24-year-old has been one of the least efficient runners in the league this season. However, he has been active as a receiver and has a firm hold on goal-line duties in what's been a surprisingly fantasy-friendly Arizona offense with quarterback Jacoby Brissett at the helm.

Knight will continue to rank in low-end RB3 territory for the Week 15 game against a tough Houston Texans defense this Sunday.

Woody Marks, RB, Houston Texans

Houston Texans rookie running back Woody Marks (ankle) returned to the practice field on Thursday, according to KPRC 2 Sports' Aaron Wilson. Marks was held out of Wednesday's practice with an ankle injury, but his return to the field on Thursday suggests he should be fine to play this weekend in a strong matchup versus the Arizona Cardinals. The 24-year-old fourth-rounder has been the Texans' lead back for most of the year, with Joe Mixon (ankle, foot) never able to make it back.

He has seen double-digit carries in each of the last eight games, culminating in a season-high 26 rushing attempts in the Week 14 win over the Kansas City Chiefs. Nick Chubb (ribs) was injured in that game, and he's in danger of missing Week 15 after not practicing yet this week. Marks will be a high-volume RB2 in fantasy football, regardless of whether Chubb is active this weekend.
