Who Should I Draft for Fantasy Football? Emeka Egbuka, Jayden Higgins, Kyle Williams Outlooks (2025)

Jayden Higgins - NFL Draft Prospects, Dynasty Fantasy Football Rookie Rankings

Who should I draft for fantasy football in 2025? Fantasy football outlooks for Emeka Egbuka, Jayden Higgins, Kyle Williams and our expert draft advice.

We might be comparing apples to oranges here a bit, as Emeka Egbuka, Jayden Higgins, and Kyle Williams all have very different ADPs; however, the one thing they all have in common is that they are dynamic rookie receivers who are expected to be difference-makers for their respective teams.

These days, when teams invest draft capital into wide receivers by taking them in the first three rounds, they usually expect them to compete for playing time right away. All three of these receivers may see a lot of action in their rookie campaigns, but which of them makes for the best option in redraft fantasy leagues this season?

Understanding how each player fits into their respective offensive schemes and what role they are most likely to take on this year will help you make the best choice for your fantasy roster, whether you're looking for a high-ceiling option or a more dependable contributor. So, which of these wide receivers should you target in 2025?

Emeka Egbuka Fantasy Football Outlook

  • NFFC ADP: 110
  • Baller Move: 85

Tampa Bay's offense provided plenty of fantasy value last season with Mike Evans, Jalen McMillan, Bucky Irving, and Baker Mayfield all turning in excellent seasons. Evans and McMillan picked up the slack when slot receiver Chris Godwin was lost for the season, and even tight end Cade Otton had a few big weeks as the Bucs rolled up some big point totals in 2025.

Godwin is set to return to the fold this year, but he's not ready just yet. Enter Emeka Egbuka, who at six-foot-1 and 215 pounds is a Godwin clone. He's a big-bodied receiver with great hands and a knack for getting open.

Like Marvin Harrison Jr., Egbuka is out of Ohio State and being viewed as one of the most "NFL-ready" prospects at the receiver position.

The buzz around the Tampa rookie receiver is mounting, and there may be a temptation to fade him as he becomes a trendy pick, but Egbuka's ability to play anywhere on the field should guarantee him a role even when Godwin does return. With Mike Evans another year older and being a bit injury-prone, there are multiple paths to playing time for Egbuka.

The hype surrounding Egbuka seems legitimate, and at his ADP, he could end up being one of the best values of any rookie receiver in this draft.

Jayden Higgins Fantasy Football Outlook

  • NFFC ADP: 145
  • Baller Move: 121

This offseason, the Texans lost both Stefon Diggs (free agency) and Tank Dell (to injury) and are attempting to replace them with Christian Kirk and Higgins. Houston looks to revamp their passing game, but will still feature

Nico Collins as their featured receiver. Collins should command a large target share, but Houston will need others to step up and make plays, especially if Collins draws double teams from opposing defenses.

Christian Kirk should line up in the slot and run a lot of his routes underneath, while Higgins has the size at six-foot-four to line up on the outside opposite Collins.

Higgins has been impressive in training camp so far, but his role and playing time are still very much up in the air. For now, he's listed on the first-team offense with Collins and Kirk, but just how often he's targeted by C.J. Stroud remains to be seen.

This Houston team has won the division two years running, but we saw Stroud take a step back in his development last season. With some improved offensive line play, this Texans offense has the potential to be very good, and they may be able to score enough points to sustain the fantasy value of Collins, Kirk, and the rookie Higgins. He's a low-floor, high-ceiling choice in drafts, but a receiver you should consider taking a shot on in the later rounds.

Kyle Williams Fantasy Football Outlook

  • NFFC ADP: 183
  • Baller Move: 156

Looking for a receiver who could legitimately battle for the WR1 position on his team by the end of the season? Then look no further than Washington State speedster Kyle Williams!

Williams has the type of big-play ability that the Patriots need. Stefon Diggs is going to be used as a possession receiver and is coming off a major injury. DeMario Douglas is a slot receiver who also does his best work on slants and crossing patterns. But Kyle Williams can stretch the field and provide the Patriots' passing game with a dimension that it currently lacks.

Williams has had a mixed bag of results in camp so far this season. While his route-running has been praised, he's also had some bad drops and has yet to show the type of consistency expected of NFL receivers.

The rest of the Patriots' receiver room consists of Mack Hollins, Kendrick Bourne, Kayshon Boutte, and Ja'Lynn Polk. Hollins and Bourne have never established themselves as reliable options in their careers, while both Boutte and Polk showed a few flashes last year, but were also very inconsistent.

Williams has a great chance of beating out that group of receivers for snaps, and at this stage in the draft, we want to take some calculated risks on the most talented players. He's very much a boom-bust pick, but Williams deserves to be taken ahead of his ADP because of his talent and the potential to fill a substantial role on an improved Patriots' passing attack with Drake Maye looking better by the game.

Who Should I Draft in Fantasy Football?

The safest pick for drafts is easily Emeka Egbuka; however, you're going to need to spend a 7th or 8th-round pick to get him, while the other two receivers can be had several rounds later.

At this point, I would expect Egbuka to go ahead of his ADP in drafts as he continues to get talked up around the industry. Targeting Higgins or Williams in later rounds if you miss out on Egbuka is one way to secure a rookie receiver with upside, and both guys also make really good targets in Best Ball drafts as well.

There's a good chance that all three receivers end the season as valuable fantasy assets, but look for Egbuka to be the guy who has the biggest overall impact throughout the full season.
