Week 4 Running Back Outlooks for Fantasy Football

Chuba Hubbard, Carolina Panthers - Fantasy Football Outlook

Carolina Panthers running back Chuba Hubbard had his best game of the year in Week 3 with Andy Dalton under center. In the team's win over the Raiders, Hubbard carried 21 times for 114 yards and caught five passes for 55 yards with a receiving touchdown.

With a favorable game script for the first time this season, Hubbard turned in a dominant fantasy day. The versatile running back popped up on the injury report as a limited practice participant on Wednesday but it was listed as non-football related/rest.

Without knowing the flow of the game this week, it is tough to predict 26 touches for Hubbard but he is dominating touches in the Panthers' backfield at the moment and fantasy managers will want to ride his hot hand in the Week 4 matchup against the Bengals. Hubbard looks like a really solid RB2 this week, with a lot of upside in this matchup.

- Brian Buckey, RotoBaller

James Conner, Arizona Cardinals - Fantasy Football Outlook

Despite solid performances in Weeks 1 and 2, Arizona Cardinals running back James Conner struggled to find running room in the Week 3 loss to the Detroit Lions, managing just 17 rushing yards. This has raised concerns among fantasy managers, especially after Conner had been viewed as a reliable starter across all league formats.

However, there's no need for drastic reactions just yet. Conner remains a high-end RB2 heading into Week 4, with a favorable matchup against a Washington Commanders defense that ranks 20th in fantasy points allowed to running backs.

In Week 3, the Commanders allowed Zack Moss to post his season-high performance. With the absence of tight end Trey McBride, Conner could also see an uptick in targets, boosting his potential even further. He remains a must-start for Week 4.

- Cody Pestino, RotoBaller

Najee Harris, Pittsburgh Steelers - Fantasy Football Outlook

Pittsburgh Steelers running back Najee Harris has handled the sixth-most rushing attempts through three weeks and should see plenty of opportunities against the Indianapolis Colts in Week 4. With Jaylen Warren (knee) officially out for Sunday's contest, Harris is in line for even more work both on the ground and as a pass-catcher.

Although Cordarrelle Patterson is likely to get involved, it's worth noting that Harris was targeted five times by quarterback Justin Fields last week. The Colts have surrendered the most rushing yards in the NFL this season, making Harris even more appealing for fantasy purposes. Fantasy managers can confidently roll with Harris as an RB2 with upside this week.
