Week 7 Waiver Wire Rankings - Fantasy Football Pickups Include Isaac Guerendo, Sean Tucker, Romeo Doubs, Demario Douglas, Ty Chandler, Drake Maye

Sean Tucker - Fantasy Football Waiver Wire, Draft Sleepers, Draft Rankings

Fantasy football waiver wire rankings for Week 7 of the 2024 NFL season. Top free agent options to add off waivers, and our rankings will help you prioritize.

The NFL 2024 regular football season continues to fly by, and the halfway point of the fantasy football season has arrived. At RotoBaller HQ, we are here to guide you through the waiver wire with more waiver wire advice. Today, we review our Week 7 fantasy football waiver wire rankings for 2024. New England Patriots rookie quarterback Drake Maye made his career start and threw for three touchdowns in Sunday's loss to the Houston Texans. Green Bay Packers wide receiver Romeo Doubs caught two touchdowns after being suspended a game for disciplinary reasons in Week 5.

The window for fantasy managers to turn things around is rapidly closing. If you have a losing record, it's go time to start adding players off the waiver wire who could make an immediate impact. Week 6 left us with even more questions heading into Week 7. Are the New England Patriots offensive skilled players' fantasy relevant again with Drake Maye under center? Is JuJu Smith-Schuster the Chiefs No. 1 WR with Rashee Rice out for the season? Is Isaac Guerendo the next 49ers running back to add with injuries to both Christian McCaffrey and Jordan Mason? Has Sean Tucker earned more touches in Tampa Bay's backfield?

Our waiver wire rankings will help answer these questions -- they've been a staple in the fantasy industry for years, providing a quick-hit list of player names that goes deep into the free agent options each week. For those unfamiliar, one of the industry's sharpest fantasy football minds, Nick Mariano, brings you his weekly waiver wire rankings and priority adds for the top 60 potential options.

Fantasy Football Waiver Wire Outlooks

Some of the top names include Juju Smith-Schuster, Romeo Doubs, Isaac Guerendo, Kimani Vidal, Drake Maye, and DeMario Douglas. We recap why these players rostered under 55% in Yahoo! leagues should be on your radar when scrolling through the waiver wire for Week 7:

Juju Smith-Schuster, WR, Kansas City Chiefs (34% Rostered)
Week 7 Waiver Wire Ranking: 1

The Chiefs won't have Marquise Brown and Rashee Rice again this season. KC may look to fill its No. 1 receiver role via trade, but if they don't then it might go to JuJu Smith-Schuster by default.

KC was on a bye this week, but in Week 5, Smith-Schuster was targeted eight times, catching seven passes for 130 yards. Rookie Xavier Worthy might be more electrifying than Smith-Schuster, but he's still figuring out how to consistently impact the game.

For now, Smith-Schuster is the No. 1 receiver for the Chiefs. Being Patrick Mahomes's top wideout is a pretty good role for fantasy purposes.

Isaac Guerendo, RB, San Francisco 49ers (4% Rostered)
Week 7 Waiver Wire Ranking: 2

Isaac Guerendo was included among the recommendations in this column entering Weeks 5 and 6, due to his placement directly below Jordan Mason on San Francisco’s depth chart.

Guerendo had only been limited to 28 snaps, 12 attempts, and 41 rushing yards entering Week 6, as Kyle Shanahan maintained a steadfast commitment to the deployment of Mason as the 49ers’ workhorse back (75.7% snap share/21 attempts per game).

Mason sustained an ACL sprain during San Francisco’s Week 6 visit to NFC West rival Seattle, which immediately vaulted Guerendo into an increased role. It also underscored the importance of having Guerendo secured as a handcuff if you have been utilizing Mason in your lineups.

Guerendo rushed for 99 yards on 10 attempts, which included a 76-yard run. Deebo Samuel Sr. (four), and Patrick Taylor (three) also accumulated carries after Mason departed the Week 6 matchup.

Mason’s status should be monitored in advance of San Francisco’s Week 7 encounter with Kansas City. The 49ers’ depth chart will also be modified whenever Christian McCaffrey re-emerges from his extended absence (Achilles). However, Guerendo is primed to deliver RB2 output if Mason and McCaffrey are inactive.

Demario Douglas, WR, New England Patriots (8% Rostered)
Week 7 Waiver Wire Ranking: 12

Drake Maye instantly gave New England's passing more life, to no one's surprise. It came with a few more mistakes and turnovers, but that was to be expected in his first start. More importantly, this offense showed life. It showed potential. Douglas was the biggest beneficiary of that.

He finished with nine targets, six receptions, 92 yards, and one touchdown en route to 18.2 half-PPR points. This was his second game in a row with nine targets and six receptions.

Douglas will be more valuable in PPR-scoring leagues, but with Maye at the helm, this passing offense no longer needs to be avoided. Douglas could be ranked as a WR4 with WR3 upside moving forward with Maye under center.

Romeo Doubs, WR, Green Bay Packers (35% Rostered)
Week 7 Waiver Wire Ranking: 6

He sat out last week due to personal issues but returned this week and caught two touchdowns. Dontayvion Wicks left the game with a shoulder issue, and if he misses time, that could help Doubs garner more targets weekly.

Doubs is a favorite of Jordan Love in the red zone, and while he's unlikely to garner games with seven or more targets, Doubs' chances of finding the end zone are better than most streamable receivers. Love and the Packers' offense is pass-heavy, and he's routinely targeted in that area.

Sean Tucker, RB, Tampa Bay Buccaneers (2% Rostered)
Week 7 Waiver Wire Ranking: 41

Sean Tucker had been limited to nine offensive snaps, three touches, and eight total yards entering from Weeks 1-5. However, the foot injury that was sustained by Rachaad White created a path for Tucker to seize an expanded role in Week 6.

Tucker accumulated 28 snaps, registered 17 touches, and exploded for 192 total yards and two touchdowns while operating with the most extensive workload of his career. That included a league-high 136 rushing yards on 14 attempts, and 56 receiving yards on three targets, as he established new career highs in every category mentioned.

Bucky Irving led the Buccaneers backfield with a season-high 49 snaps during his first opportunity to function as Tampa Bay’s lead back. He also carried 14 times, generated 81 rushing yards, and produced his second career touchdown. Irving has now attained a 49.8% snap share since Week 4 while accruing 174 yards on the ground during that span.

Tucker’s performance could propel him into a weekly allotment of touches despite the presence of Irving and White. He has also vaulted into relevance as a potential RB2 behind Irving if White remains sidelined. Tucker’s value will also skyrocket if Irving and White are unavailable during any future matchups.
