Week 7 brings some key byes for kickers, with the Chicago Bears and Dallas Cowboys getting the week off. Brandon Aubrey, currently the K1 in fantasy football, will be absent from lineups this week. Hopefully, you have managed your starting kicker well so far. But now might be the time to find a trustworthy replacement who can step up.

In Week 6, there were some notable performances and a few disappointments. Jake Bates of the Detroit Lions posted 19 fantasy points against the Dallas Cowboys. Meanwhile, Washington Commanders' Austin Seibert had his first miss of the season, a blocked 52-yard attempt. He remains a solid option despite the block. Matthew Wright of the San Francisco 49ers tallied 13 fantasy points facing the Seattle Seahawks despite a shoulder injury.

For Week 7, focusing on kickers from high-scoring offenses and those who often get chances to score is necessary. It is essential to choose kickers whose teams move the ball and put them in scoring range. Avoiding those who do not see enough work due to limited offensive support is equally important. Let's get right into kicker streamers, those to avoid, and rankings for Week 7 to find out who you should be starting.

Fantasy Football Kicker Streamers to Target for Week 7

Only players rostered in fewer than 60% of fantasy football leagues are considered streamers.

Austin Seibert (WAS) vs. Carolina Panthers
30.4% Rostered on Sleeper

Austin Seibert of the Washington Commanders is K5 in fantasy football and should be on more fantasy rosters. The Oklahoma product has a nice matchup this week as he faces the Carolina Panthers. Although Seibert missed his first kick of the season in Week 6 against the Baltimore Ravens, the kicker still finished with 14 fantasy points. He connected on three of his four field goals and nailed both extra points in the 30-23 loss.

With Washington's offense continuing to put up points, the veteran kicker has a good chance for success. So far, he has recorded four double-digit fantasy games this season. This week's matchup versus the Panthers is promising, as they surrender the fourth-most fantasy points per game to kickers.

Seibert has made 15 field goals in five games, showing his consistency. The Commanders have scored 20 or more points in each matchup this season, so expect him to have plenty of opportunities again in Week 7. He works well as a streamer this week, but he should be an every-week starter.

Jake Bates (DET) at Minnesota Vikings
23.2% Rostered on Sleeper

Another kicker to pick up and stream in Week 7 is Jake Bates of the Detroit Lions as he faces the Minnesota Vikings. Bates had an impressive Week 6 performance against the Dallas Cowboys in the Lions' blowout win. He connected on all four of his field goals and hit five extra points, finishing with 19 fantasy points in the 47-9 victory.

The Lions are averaging 30.2 points per game, providing the Arkansas alum plenty of scoring chances. Although he had two games without a field goal in a row, the Dallas game showed how important Bates can be when Detroit gets into the red zone.

Minnesota has given up the fewest fantasy points to kickers this season, which is a concern. However, with the game expected to be high-scoring, Bates should still have plenty of chances to contribute. It might be a risk, but benching him could mean missing out on a big game.

Will Reichard (MIN) vs. Detroit Lions
3.1% Rostered on Sleeper

Bates' counterpart on the Minnesota Vikings, Will Reichard, is an excellent kicker to start this week against the Detroit Lions. Reichard currently ranks as K13 in fantasy leagues. In Week 5, he went 3-for-3 on field goals and 2-for-2 on extra points, helping the Vikings secure a 23-17 win over the New York Jets. Coming off a Week 6 bye, he is available in plenty of leagues.

The Alabama alum has already posted three double-digit fantasy games this year. Interestingly, special teams coordinator Matt Daniels mentioned that the kicker only gets a haircut at the start of the season and waits until he misses a kick to get another. He has been perfect this season, so no haircut for the rookie at this time. With Minnesota's offense thriving and remaining unbeaten, Reichard is in an ideal position to put up points.

Reichard also has the long-range ability you want in a fantasy kicker. He has hit all three field goals from 50 yards or more, including a season-long 58-yarder. If you need a kicker this week, the youngster is the solid choice.

 

Fantasy Football Kickers to Avoid for Week 7

Greg Zuerlein (NYJ) at Pittsburgh Steelers
18.2% Rostered on Sleeper

Facing the Pittsburgh Steelers, who are allowing the fourth-fewest fantasy points per game to kickers, Greg Zuerlein of the New York Jets is a sit this week. In the Jets' offense, he does not see the volume needed to be a reliable option in fantasy. The veteran has yet to score double-digit fantasy points this season.

New York's lack of offensive firepower is holding the 36-year-old back. He made just one extra point in the season opener and did not attempt a field goal, which has become a trend. With the Jets unable to move the ball consistently, the former Pro Bowler rarely has the chances he needs to contribute.

This matchup against the Steelers provides little upside. Pittsburgh only allows kickers an average of 5.7 fantasy points per game. Zuerlein's season-high is 9.0 points against Denver in Week 4, and with the offense struggling, it is best to bench him this week.

Daniel Carlson (LV) at Los Angeles Rams
14% Rostered on Sleeper

This week, Daniel Carlson of the Las Vegas Raiders is best left off starting lineups. In the Week 6 loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers, he managed just one extra point, as the Raiders did not attempt any field goals. Coming up, the 29-year-old faces the Los Angeles Rams. The Rams have conceded the seventh-fewest fantasy points to kickers this season.

Carlson has had two double-digit performances this season. In Week 2 against the Baltimore Ravens, he scored 18 points. In Week 4, facing the Cleveland Browns, he put up 10 points. Both matchups were favorable, as Baltimore and Cleveland rank among the most generous defenses for fantasy kickers.

With the Rams presenting a tough challenge, it is best to keep Carlson on the bench this week. He is not likely to succeed in this matchup.
