Fantasy Basketball Waiver Wire Pickups and Streamers for Week 20: 3/9 -3/15

Isaiah Stewart - NBA DFS Picks, Fantasy Basketball Rankings

Thunder Dan's fantasy basketball waiver wire pickups for Week 20 of the 2025-26 NBA season. Consider these players as fantasy basketball adds, streamers, and stashes.

It's crunch time! Not only are NBA teams preparing for the stretch run to the playoffs, but fantasy basketball teams are doing the same! If you're reading this, it means your team(s) are still alive and kicking - and you probably need some help from the wire this week, right?

Some of you will be starting the playoffs in your league this week, while others still have a week or two left before they start. It's tough to take all of that into account every week and provide useful, actionable advice for as many managers as possible. Still, I always try to avoid covering only the obvious pickups and moves.

Last week I went for all 10% rostered and lower...and had some folks ask about players above that threshold, so I am trying to find the happy medium between 25% and 10% - let's go with 15% this week. Alright, fantasy hoops managers - let's get to the finish line. Here are my top waiver adds and streamers for Week 20 of the season.

Schedule Highlights

  • Just ONE team with the dreaded 2-game week in this scoring period - the New Orleans Pelicans.
  • Philadelphia has the coveted five-game week with B2Bs to start AND finish the week!
  • Cleveland, New York, and Utah each play four games WITHOUT playing a B2B set this week.
  • Memphis, Philadelphia, and Brooklyn all start the week on a B2B set (Mon-Tues).
  • Philadelphia, Milwaukee, and Sacramento have the always desirable Sat-Sun B2B to close out the week.

Fantasy Basketball Waiver Wire for Week 20

Isaiah Stewart - PF/C (15%)

Ausar Thompson is out "for a while," which is never what you want to hear if you're a Thompson owner or a Pistons fan. That makes "Beef Stew" one of the top pick-ups this week, as he can not only play backup center minutes, but also slide over and play some valuable minutes at power forward.

He's had two pretty good games since returning from his lengthy suspension, and with four games on the schedule this week, I like his chances of providing some value in points, boards, blocks...and even some threes.

Micah Potter - PF/C (14%)

The Pacers are basically using a Potter-Huff platoon at the center position right now, with each player getting 20-25 minutes a night. Pascal Siakam is back tonight, but could easily be rested once or twice this week. Keep Potter on your radar if you need some big man stats, especially FG%, as he's been a very efficient scorer over his last six games.

Guerschon Yabusele - PF/C (13%)

The Bulls could get Jalen Smith back tonight and only play three games this week, so you may want to wait a bit before making a move for either of the Chicago big men until we have some more information. But Yabusele has been very solid in Smith's absence, providing some decent production in points, boards, and threes.

Tristan da Silva - SF/PF (13%)

The only bummer here is that the Magic play only three games and not again until Wednesday. However, da Silva is playing great basketball right now, and Orlando can't stay healthy, with Anthony Black the latest to go down with an injury last night.

He can do a little of everything and is one of my favorite players, given how widely available he is.

Robert Williams III - C (11%)

Our cover athlete from last week's article came through with a huge game this week when Donovan Clingan got ejected before halftime. It's just a reminder of his incredible per-minute upside and that he's always that close to popping off. No back-to-backs for Portland this week, though they also only play once in the first four days of the week, so consider him to close out the week instead.

Olivier-Maxence Prosper - PF/C (11%)

"O-Max" was outplayed by Taylor Hendricks yesterday, but still chipped in 11 points, three treys, and a block. He seems to have a bad game at least once a week, but the minutes and opportunity should still be there for him with Memphis being so short-handed on the interior.

Pelle Larsson - SG/SF (9%)

Yes, Tyler Herro is back and stealing the spotlight (and shots), but Norman Powell is still out, and Larsson is still playing solid minutes. I love his game, and I think he's still quite rosterable if you need counting stats without totally punting percentages.

Walter Clayton Jr. - PG/SG (7%)

It's hard to roster any of these Memphis guards right now, but I still contend that Clayton is the safest because he's the least likely to get rested on a B2B set, while Scotty Pippen Jr., Ty Jerome, and Cam Spencer could easily sit. He also has to contend with Javon Small, though Memphis seems okay with having two small guards on the floor at the same time.

Jordan Miller - SG/SF (6%)

Miller didn't do much besides score yesterday, but 33 minutes was a good sign for him, and it was the eighth straight game with at least 24 minutes or more.

The Clippers have four games, including a back-to-back set late in the week where Darius Garland and/or Kawhi Leonard could rest. I like Miller quite a bit, especially since the Clippers end the week with solid matchups against the Bulls and Kings.

Taylor Hendricks - SF/PF/C (6%)

Hendricks missed a game last week due to an illness, but had a fantastic performance yesterday with 18 points, two steals, two blocks, and three treys. That's what we are looking for!

He's easily one of my favorite pick-ups this week, and the eligibility at three positions on Yahoo provides tremendous flexibility.

Jabari Walker - PF/C (7%)

We have to look pretty closely at ALL the available Sixers this week with their five-game week and a very depleted roster. Walker had two 20-point games in a row before cooling off yesterday, but he is certainly a compelling option with his fantasy skill set.

Isaiah Jackson - C (6%)

Sound the alarms, we have an I-Jax sighting! The Clippers lost rookie big man Yanic Konan Niederhauser to injury, leaving Jackson as the backup center to Brook Lopez.

He double-doubled in 25 minutes off the bench last night, and we all know how he can stuff the stat sheet when given minutes, so I'd grab him if you need rebounds and defensive stats. He's got Robert Williams III-type upside!

Nick Richards - C (6%)

As I mentioned with Yabusele, I'd probably wait to see what Jalen Smith's status is for tonight before adding him or Richards. If you need boards and blocks, then Richards is your guy, as he's pulled down 10+ boards in four of his last six games. He's always a nice boost for FG%, too, since most of his offense comes from layups and dunks.

Ousmane Dieng - SF/PF/C (6%)

I had Dieng in my article last week, and man, am I glad that I snagged him in at least one of my leagues. The Bucks have decided to roll him with in the starting lineup, and after a few decent games, he finally went off yesterday with a near triple-double (11-8-9).

He's a very toolsy young player, and right now he's trending up in a big way. Don't be afraid to take a shot on him this week!

Keon Ellis - PG/SG (4%)

As a Cavs fan, I can say that it has truly been a pleasure watching Ellis on the defensive end since he came over from the Kings before the deadline. This dude is a menace and can match up with just about anyone. He's incredibly long for his size, and it allows him to create turnovers at an insane rate.

Over his last six games, Ellis has stacked up 14 steals and 11 blocks. You can't find that from anyone else on the wire; it's that simple. If you don't need any offense, but want to tip steals and blocks in your favor this week, then Ellis might just be the guy to do it.

Adem Bona - C (2%)

What are we doing, gang? How is Bona this readily available when he's started the last two games and played 29 minutes in each? Joel Embiid is set to miss another week, which means we could get five more games from Bona as the starter!

I know his lines have been pretty thin, but this is an elite shot-blocker who is going to fall into six boards and a block every night. And he's got the potential to single-handedly win you the category if he stacks up a few multi-block games in a row.

Leonard Miller - PF (1%)

I'm intrigued by Miller this week, as he's been playing minutes in the mid-twenties and has shown a bit of upside in spots. Obviously, Jalen Smith's injury status matters here, but moreso to Richards and Yabusele, since Miller can play power forward and those guys are primarily centers.

Cameron Payne - PG/SG (1%)

Tyrese Maxey left the Sixers game early last night with an injury! Hopefully, he's fine (says the guy who took him in the first round on almost every team), but snagging Payne as an insurance policy isn't a bad idea if you are a Maxey owner and have the roster space.

Good luck this week, friends, and never hesitate to reach out with questions on roster moves!
