Top 25 Fantasy Baseball Prospects To Stash (Week 15): Redraft Rankings

Coby Mayo - Fantasy Baseball Prospects, Draft Sleepers, MLB Rookies

Eric Cross's top 25 fantasy baseball prospects rankings for Week 15 (2024). MLB prospects, rookies, call-ups who can be fantasy baseball sleepers in redraft.

Welcome back to my weekly series Top Fantasy Baseball Prospects to Stash as we head into Week 15 of the 2024 MLB season. As the calendar flips over to July, the fantasy baseball prospects world is really start to heat up. We've had a steady flow of intriguing names getting called up to the Majors over the last few weeks, including Noelvi Marte returning from suspension and my top overall fantasy prospect, James Wood, making his highly anticipated debut on Monday.

So, we've lost the top two names from last week's rankings along with a few others, but this week's stash list is still an exciting one with numerous hitters hitting the ball well in Triple-A right now.

Remember, stashing prospects should be done strategically and varies from league to league. Don't leave your teams without much depth just because you want all the high-upside prospects on your roster.

Be sure to check all of our fantasy baseball lineup tools and resources:

Fantasy Baseball Prospect Rankings Analysis

Coby Mayo (3B - BAL)

With Wood and Marte up in the Majors, Coby Mayo sits alone atop these rankings. Mayo has been red hot in Triple-A and would probably be up if he played for nearly any other MLB organization. Even after going 2/13 over his last four games, Mayo is still slashing .390/.490/.756 over his last 11 games with three doubles, four home runs, and as many walks as strikeouts (7).

Meanwhile, one of Ramon Urias or Jorge Mateo continues to be in the lineup every day providing minimal offensive impact. Urias is currently hitting .217 in 138 plate appearances while Mateo is hitting .236 in 176 plate appearances. Both have an OBP under .280 as well. Baltimore could move Jordan Westburg to second base full-time and hand the keys to the hot corner to Mayo.

Christian Scott (SP - NYM)

With the Mets' next day off not coming until the all-star break, Christian Scott will rejoin the rotation at least for the next two weeks. Scott has made four starts for Triple-A Syracuse since being optioned down at the beginning of June, posting a 2.12 ERA and 27.1% strikeout rate. For the Mets earlier this season, Scott more than held his own with a 3.90 ERA, 1.08 WHIP, and 16.9% K-BB rate across five starts. Scott needs to be added in all leagues as he can provide Top-50 SP value while up with the Mets. Let's just hope this stint extends past the all-star break.

Shay Whitcomb (2B/3B/SS - HOU)

You'd be hard-pressed to find many minor-league hitters that had a better June than Shay Whitcomb did. In 116 plate appearances last month, Whitcomb slashed .347/.414/.653 with 20 runs, nine home runs, 29 RBI, and 13 steals. He's now up to 18 home runs and 20 steals in 75 games for Triple-A Sugar Land and has made notable improvements in the contact and approach departments.

There's no spot at the moment for Whitcomb in Houston, but his defensively flexibility should help get him to the Major Leagues sooner rather than later, and his power/speed blend makes Whitcomb highly intriguing for fantasy purposes.

Deyvison De Los Santos (CI - ARI)

Speaking of hitters mashing in Triple-A, Deyvison De Los Santos has been a beast at the plate all season for Double-A Amarillo and Triple-A Reno. In 315 plate appearances combined, De Los Santos is slashing .350/.400/.689 with 16 doubles and a minor league-leading 26 home runs. He's been especially potent at the plate over his last 20 games, smacking six doubles, 11 home runs, and picking up 28 RBI.

De Los Santos could see time at first base, third base, and the hot corner, although it might take an injury for that to happen. But once he's up, De Los Santos' power could be impactful.

Parker Meadows (OF - DET)

Yes, Parker Meadows technically isn't a prospect anymore, but I thought he'd be a good player to discuss this week. Meadows was a trendy draft day "sleeper" back in the spring but fell flat on his face over the first five weeks of the season with Detroit. However, he's been swinging the bat well for Triple-A Toledo since his demotion, especially over his last 23 games, where he's slashing .312/.407/.505 with four home runs, six steals, and a 19.4% strikeout rate. It's looking like he could be back up with Detroit before the end of the month.

Brett Baty (3B - NYM)

Brett Baty isn't a prospect anymore either, but like Meadows, I wanted to discuss him here. Maybe I should call this article "minor leaguers" to stash instead. While Baty's time with the Mets was more down than up, he's been red hot in Triple-A since being sent down three weeks ago. In 19 games, Baty is slashing .316/.369/.605 with four doubles, six home runs, and a 17.9% strikeout rate. We tend to forget that Baty didn't have a lot of time in Triple-A before his initial call-up, and he's still only 24 years old.
