Three NFL Offenses Trending Up In 2024 Fantasy Football

Which offenses are trending up heading into the 2024 fantasy football season? Joey Pollizze looks at three offenses that will be much better in 2024.

When choosing players during fantasy football drafts, targeting players on elite offenses is always a great recipe for success. Just look at the Miami Dolphins, San Francisco 49ers, and Detroit Lions offenses in 2023. If you drafted any player from any of those offenses last year, it turned out great.

Of course, those same offenses will be elite in 2024, and fantasy managers should target players on those offenses again. But several other offenses also improved this offseason.

So, here are three offenses that will be better in 2024. Targeting players on these offenses could work out in fantasy this season.

Be sure to check all of our fantasy football rankings for 2025:

Atlanta Falcons

Quarterback play matters in the NFL, and that has never been more true for the Atlanta Falcons over the years. After averaging the seventh fewest points per game (18.9) in 2023 with Desmond Ridder/Taylor Heinicke under center, the Falcons should be in a much better spot offensively this season.

That's because the team signed Kirk Cousins to a four-year deal this offseason. Cousins just led the Minnesota Vikings to a top-eight offense in 2022, and he comes into a situation in Atlanta that already has elite playmakers in Bijan Robinson, Drake London, and Kyle Pitts. So, look for the Falcons' offense to be much better in 2024 with a new quarterback.

Chicago Bears

The Chicago Bears have gone through a ton of changes over the past two years, which has included revamping their offense. Now, entering the 2024 season, Chicago will have a new quarterback under center (Caleb Williams), a new running back (D'Andre Swift), a new WR2 (Keenan Allen), and a new WR3 (Rome Odunze).

After averaging 21.2 points per game on offense last season, expect that number to increase in 2024. Williams walks into one of the best rookie quarterback situations in NFL history, so there should be plenty of chances for him to shine in Year 1. This Bears offense should take a big step forward this year, especially after struggling to move the ball with Justin Fields in 2023.

New York Jets

The New York Jets had one of the worst offenses in the NFL last year, averaging 15.8 points per game. But Aaron Rodgers' return from a season-ending Achilles injury should change all that. With Rodgers back, look for the Jets to have a borderline top-10 offense in 2024.

They'll have a future Hall of Fame quarterback leading the way under center while also having elite playmakers like Breece Hall and Garrett Wilson on offense. Those three players are all the team needs to have an elite offense this season.
