Nick Chubb Fantasy Football Waiver Wire Outlook
With Joe Mixon (foot) on the non-football injury/reserve list since the start of the campaign, the veteran Chubb opened the season as the team's clear RB1. From Weeks 1 through 5, Chubb has averaged 11.6 attempts per game and has tallied 49.8 yards per game.
During this stretch, Chubb has punched in two touchdowns and caught seven of his 10 targets for 46 yards. Outside of Week 4, Chubb led the team in running back snaps and is expected to be the primary early-down option in Week 7 when the Texans face the Seattle Seahawks.
Woody Marks Fantasy Football Waiver Wire Outlook
While Marks had a modest role throughout the opening weeks, slotting behind Chubb and fellow veteran Dare Ogunbowale, Marks enjoyed a long-awaited breakout game in Week 4.
In their victory over the Titans, Marks led the backfield in snaps (57%) and took 17 carries for 69 yards and a score, added 50 yards and a second touchdown on four receptions.
However, in Weeks 1, 2, 3, and 5, Marks has combined for just 19 rushing attempts with only four targets. While his role appears to be behind Chubb on the depth chart, seeing the Texans gradually increase his workload is a positive sign for his rest-of-season outlook.

Should I Pickup Nick Chubb or Woody Marks For Fantasy Football?
While Chubb should be viewed as the priority target given his role as the early-down option in the backfield, fantasy managers should look to pick up both options ahead of Week 7. Chubb has taken more rushing attempts, but seeing Marks take the lead role in Week 4 suggests that the Texans are willing to increase the rookie's usage in specific game scripts.
Chubb will hold the safer floor in Week 7, but Marks not only possesses higher upside as a pass catcher but carries an immense stash upside if the veteran were to miss time. Seeing Marks' impressive performance in his limited opportunities makes him a must-roster player in all formats despite being listed as the No. 2 on the depth chart.
If the Texans find themselves in a shootout, expect Marks to lead the backfield while Chubb takes the backseat.
With Mixon's timetable still undefined, fantasy managers should continue to view Chubb and Mixon as must-roster players and solid mid-end RB2s heading into Week 7.
