Rashod Bateman is a fantasy football waiver wire pickup option for wide receivers. Target him as a free agent add off waivers for Week 2 of the 2024 NFL season.

ANALYSIS: Baltimore Ravens wide receiver Rashod Bateman shouldn't be considered as a fantasy option in the vast majority of leagues. The trade for former Carolina Panthers WR Diontae Johnson means it's likely that Bateman will lose at least some playing time to the vet.

Bateman has been with the Ravens for three full years now and hasn't been a viable fantasy option in that time. It's also obvious to anyone who's watched the Panthers play this year that Johnson is a far superior wideout. While that doesn't mean Johnson will be a great fantasy option, it's very bad for Bateman's prospects.
No. 7 wouldn't see the starting field on many rosters, but Baltimore didn't have a lot of great options at receiver. Only now do they have two WRs that could be fantasy relevant, since they drafted WR Zay Flowers last year. Bateman is rostered in too high a percentage of leagues right now, and is a safe player to drop.
