BALLER MOVE: Add in 14+ Team Leagues
ROSTERED IN: 4% of Leagues
ANALYSIS: Randall Cobb started the year on a secondary (tertiary, actually) role with the Packers appearing in no more than 25 offensive snaps in four of the first six games of the season (only two times getting a snap share above 40%) before going down injured in Week 6. Cobb had one fantasy-viable outing in that span (16.9 PPR points in Week 5) and he just came back to the field last TNF to have another WR2-level performance.
Cobb spent more than a month recovering from his early-season ankle injury and hit a Green Bay rotation in which the lack of offensive weapons is glaring. He is still to snatch a WR2 role in the Packers' pecking order, but he is at least locked into the WR3 slot (in three-receiver formations) and he should retain it.
Even on such a lower role, Cobb still appeared in more than half of all Green Bay's snaps (56%) while getting the second-most targets among Packers wideouts only behind WR1 Allen Lazard. Cobb caught 6-of-6 targets for 73 yards only missing on scoring a touchdown. This is nothing new for Cobb, who boasts a fantastic 75% catch rate over the full season (seven games played for him).
You can forget about Cobb catching six passes for 70+ yards weekly mostly because that's more receptions than targets he's seen in five of the prior six games he's played this season. That said, you can count on some three/four receptions weekly for around 50 yards with the chance of him scoring a touchdown to boost his fantasy scores.
He's just a Flex option for those in deeper leagues, but a proven one assuming he can stay healthy ROS.
