ANALYSIS: Los Angeles Chargers wide receiver Quentin Johnston was a massive bust as a rookie despite plenty of opportunities to shine. However, the second-year player was outstanding, totaling 19.6 half-point PPR fantasy points on Sunday. He had five receptions on six targets for 51 receiving yards, catching both of Justin Herbert’s passing touchdowns.

More importantly, Johnston led the team in targets in the win over the Carolina Panthers. He had two more than Ladd McConkey (four) and three times as many as Joshua Palmer (two). While the Chargers had 44 rushing attempts compared to 20 passes in Week 2, Johnston could have meaningful fantasy value moving forward.
Fantasy players should add the former TCU star off the waiver wire and see how he plays on Sunday against the Pittsburgh Steelers. If he shines against a talented Steelers defense, fantasy players can start trusting him as a WR3.
