Quentin Johnston is a fantasy football waiver wire pickup option at WR. John discusses whether you should target him as an add off waivers for Week 7 (2024).
BALLER MOVE: Add in 14+ Team Leagues
ROSTERED IN: 36% of Leagues
ANALYSIS: Los Angeles Chargers wide receiver Quentin Johnston had a nice start to his 2024 season, but this was mostly due to touchdowns, which are much less reliable for predicting future fantasy production than other metrics. He fell back down to earth in Weeks 4 and 6, with just 2.3 and 5.2 PPR fantasy points.

When a receiver gets most of his points from touchdowns, it's bad news when those start drying up. He's a great athlete, but can't consistently win, and has just 164 receiving yards on the season. With the emergence of now clear No. 1 target Ladd McConkey, Johnston doesn't have a lot of upside.
Johnston is stuck on a run-heavy team, which doesn't help either. Despite all this, he's worth at least rostering in deeper leagues. The Chargers have a stretch of games against better offenses, and they may be forced to throw the ball more. QJ could see more passes coming his way shortly and garner WR3/FLEX consideration in some weeks.
