ANALYSIS: Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Puka Nacua has arguably been the fantasy football MVP this year. The fifth-round rookie wide receiver had no expectations entering the year.
Yet, he has turned into one of the top wide receivers in the NFL. Nacua is the WR10 for the season, averaging 13.5 half-point PPR fantasy points per game. He is also the highest-graded rookie by PFF in 2023.
Nacua started the year on fire, scoring 22.6 or more fantasy points in two of his first four career games. While he has cooled off lately, the rookie has averaged 12.4 fantasy points per game since the team’s Week 10 bye. Even with Cooper Kupp playing at 100%, Nacua has been productive.
Tomorrow night, the rookie faces the New Orleans Saints. The NFC South team has held wide receivers to only 22.3 fantasy points per game, the third-fewest in the NFL. They have done well shutting down poor passing attacks but have struggled against the elite ones.
Matthew Stafford and the Rams’ passing attack has been on fire lately. Fantasy players should start Nacua with confidence this week.
