Projecting Rest of Season Top 10 Closers in 2025 Fantasy Baseball (Week 11)

edwin diaz fantasy baseball rankings draft sleepers closers saves

Joey Pollizze projects which 10 closers will finish the season in the top 10 for the 2025 fantasy baseball season as we head into Week 11 of MLB action.

It has been frustrating to own certain closers in fantasy this season. A few that come to mind are St. Louis Cardinals closer Ryan Helsley, Atlanta Braves relief pitcher Raisel Iglesias, and Chicago Cubs relief pitcher Ryan Pressly. All three relievers started the season with high expectations, but all three have struggled on the mound in 2025.

Helsley has given up a run in three straight appearances while blowing a save in all three contests. Iglesias lost Atlanta's closer job after allowing a run in eight of 11 relief appearances from May 8 to June 5. Pressly hasn't been Chicago's closer since giving up eight runs in a relief appearance against the San Francisco Giants on May 6.

That means now is a good time to look at who the top 10 closers are in fantasy baseball right now. Which closers do we expect to finish in the top 10 come October? Let's dive in and look at the current top 10 closers as of June 11, 2025.

Current Top 10 Closers for Fantasy Baseball

Pitcher IP SV K ERA WHIP
Josh Hader 28 17 43 1.29 0.750
Andres Munoz 27.2 18 36 1.30 0.831
Robert Suarez 30.1 21 32 1.78 0.725
Camilo Doval 31 10 30 1.45 1.00
Emmanuel Clase 28 14 30 3.54 1.321
Jhoan Duran 30.1 10 36 1.19 1.022
Edwin Diaz 27.1 14 42 2.30 0.91
Carlos Estevez 28.2 19 27 1.88 1.186
Aroldis Chapman 27.1 11 37 1.65 0.915
Will Vest 33.1 11 34 1.89 0.93

1. Josh Hader, Houston Astros

Houston Astros closer Josh Hader moves up one spot from last week and is much deserving of being at the top of this list. He has been nails at the back end of Houston's bullpen, converting all 17 of his save opportunities this season. With at least two strikeouts in each of his past six appearances and an elite 40.2% strikeout rate, Hader is the best fantasy closer right now.

2. Andres Munoz, Seattle Mariners

Seattle Mariners relief pitcher Andres Munoz remains an elite closer option in Week 11. He currently ranks tied for third in saves (18) and tied for second in save opportunities (22) this season. However, Munoz moves down one spot from last week after blowing two saves in his past four appearances.

3. Robert Suarez, San Diego Padres

The metrics suggest that San Diego Padres closer Robert Suarez is due for some regression in the next few weeks, but it's hard to ignore what he has done to start the season. Suarez currently leads the league in saves (21) and save opportunities (23). He has also not given up a run in 11 straight appearances dating back to May 12.

4. Camilo Doval, San Francisco Giants

Although San Francisco Giants relief pitcher Camilo Doval blew his first save of the season last week, he continues to be a strong closer option. He pitched four times last week, converting 2-of-3 save opportunities and striking out eight batters across four innings pitched. Given that the Giants have already played in 29 one-run games, Doval is a top-5 fantasy closer right now.

5. Emmanuel Clase, Cleveland Guardians

The overall numbers on Cleveland Guardians relief pitcher Emmanuel Clase might not be as strong as the other closers on this list. Clase, though, has returned to being that elite closer in recent weeks. He has converted all nine of his save opportunities while carrying a 0.61 ERA since May 1. During this span, the right-hander has allowed just one earned run across 14 2/3 innings pitched.

6. Jhoan Duran, Minnesota Twins

Minnesota Twins relief pitcher Jhoan Duran has been untouchable this season. He has converted 10-of-11 save chances this season and carries a 1.19 ERA into Week 11 of the fantasy baseball season. While fantasy managers would like to see him get more save opportunities, his overall numbers make him a great option.

7. Edwin Diaz, New York Mets

New York Mets relief pitcher Edwin Diaz moved down a couple of spots from last week, but he is still a top closer option moving forward. He has converted 14-for-15 save opportunities this season and just blew his first save on June 2 against the Los Angeles Dodgers. With an elite 38.5% strikeout rate and a .153 expected batting average against, he comes in at seventh on this list.

8. Carlos Estevez, Kansas City Royals

Kansas City Royals relief pitcher Carlos Estevez has been one of the top closers all season. He ranks second in saves (19) and is tied for second in save opportunities (22) this year. Just last week, Estevez converted 3-of-4 save opportunities, which included coming into a bases-loaded situation in the ninth inning against the White Sox on Sunday and getting out of it. He will continue to be a top closer option in Week 11.

9. Aroldis Chapman, Boston Red Sox

With the Boston Red Sox going in the wrong direction, relief pitcher Aroldis Chapman could become a popular trade candidate come July. For now, though, he will remain a top closer option for fantasy managers. He has allowed just one earned run with 15 strikeouts since May 15. That's enough for him to land on this list at No. 9.

10. Will Vest, Detroit Tigers

Detroit Tigers relief pitcher Will Vest was not on this list last week, but he deserves a spot here this week. Vest has emerged as Detroit's closer and has converted seven of his last eight save opportunities dating back to May 1. With the right-hander also pitching more than one inning in two of his last four appearances, he could move up on this list next week.

Projected Top 10 Closers for Fantasy Baseball

After diving into the top 10 current closers in fantasy baseball, let's predict which closers will finish top 10 at the position by the end of the season. This list takes into account some regression and some pitchers who will likely bounce back in the coming months.

Pitcher Projection Current Rank
Josh Hader 1 1
Andres Munoz 2 2
Emmanuel Clase 3 5
Camilo Doval 4 4
Robert Suarez 5 3
Edwin Diaz 6 7
Jhoan Duran 7 6
Mason Miller 8 14
Luke Weaver 9 N/A (IL)
Carlos Estevez 10 8

It's not easy to predict how things will look in October. Some closers will get injured, while some could be traded in the coming weeks. Chapman is a strong possibility to be dealt at the trade deadline, and so could Washington Nationals closer Kyle Finnegan. Finnegan is only on a one-year deal, and the Nationals sit 12.5 games back in the National League East.

When looking at the current top-10 closer list, there's a good chance that Hader and Munoz remain the top-2 fantasy closers by the end of the season. They have both been fantastic in 2025. We could also expect Clase to continue to trend up in the coming weeks. While he doesn't carry a high strikeout rate (24.8%), he has been untouchable since the beginning of May.

As for Doval, Suarez, Diaz, and Duran, they should all finish somewhere between the fourth and seventh spot come October. All four closers should continue to thrive in their roles and will remain must-starts throughout the fantasy season.

At the bottom of this projected list, we have two new faces who were not featured on the current top-10 list (Mason Miller and Luke Weaver). Miller has been much better recently and hasn't allowed a run in five straight outings. With an electric fastball, he should move into the top 10 by October.

Weaver should also finish inside the top 10 after he posted strong numbers in the closer role before his hamstring injury. The Yankees closer has converted 8-of-9 save opportunities this season while carrying an impressive 1.05 ERA. Therefore, he'll be a top-10 closer option when he returns from injury.
