Top MLB DFS Pitcher for DraftKings, FanDuel
Dylan Cease, SP - LAA ($9.5K DK/$10.0K FD)
Dylan Cease was my go-to pitcher last time he faced the Angels on the road and will be again tonight. He struck out 12 Angels in Anaheim on April 20th, and I expect him to have the same type of ceiling tonight, pitching at the friendly confines of Rogers Center in Toronto.
Cease this season has pitched to a 2.61 xFIP, 33.7% K%, 1.22 WHIP, and a 0.23 HR/9. He has allowed an elite 24.7% FB% and 32.2% Hard Hit%. Dare I say it, but Dylan Cease is my Cy Young favorite in the American League.
The Angels are a perfect matchup for Cease for several reasons. They have a ton of swing and miss in their lineup, posting a 26.0% K% against RHP this season. They have been ice cold as well with a .674 OPS and an 87 wRC+ against the split over their L14. They will also trot out at least 6 RHH tonight, where Cease has a 36.4% K% against. Cease is your SP1 in all formats.
Top MLB DFS Stack for DraftKings, FanDuel
Baltimore Orioles (Model-Projected IRT of 6.0 runs) vs. Jacob Lopez
On a slate where offense is a bit tough to come by, I am really digging both sides of this game at Camden Yards tonight. It will be in the mid-60s, with a very slight breeze blowing out, making for neutral hitting conditions. The matchup is what is intriguing.
Jacob Lopez will toe the rubber for the Athletics tonight, and he has allowed a 6.18 xFIP, 1.90 WHIP, 1.80 HR/9, and a 50.0% FB% this season. Over his last two starts, he has allowed a 1.89 WHIP, 2.84 HR/9, 50.0% FB%, and a 39.1% Hard Hit%. He is only throwing strikes 58.1% of the time. All this data screams full-stack.
Favorite Targets: Taylor Ward, Pete Alonso, Adley Rutschman, Coby Mayo, Gunnar Henderson, Tyler O'Neill
Top MLB DFS Hitter for DraftKings, FanDuel
Shea Langeliers, C - ATH ($5.3K DK/$3.9K FD)
I am so happy for Shea Langeliers and his child's birth, even more so if he continues to homer as a dad. Now, he gets another elite matchup. Kyle Bradish has allowed a .396 wOBA, .583 SLG, 21.1% Brl%, and a 44.7% Hard Hit% to RHH this season. Langeliers is slashing .316/.381/.600 with a .981 OPS and 7 HRs this season against RHP. He has a 1.462 OPS over his last 13 PA. He's leaving the yard tonight.
