Casey Wilson's top DraftKings and FanDuel MLB DFS picks for today, Friday, 4/17/26. His favorite daily fantasy baseball lineup sleepers and value picks for DFS on DraftKings and FanDuel.
We have an awesome Friday night baseball slate on our hands to bring us into the weekend. I would advise sitting back, relaxing, and watching some very good matchups on tonight's slate. As always, if you want to play a lineup or two, you have found the right place.
I'm continually refining my model and have spent many hours this week revising the approach. I am working on having it have accurate data with strikeouts and behind the scenes incorporating a ton of data, not just K%, to have it be the industry standard. Give it a look if you have a chance today.
This article will provide my daily fantasy baseball lineup picks for DraftKings and FanDuel on 4/17/2026, with the slate starting at 7:05 p.m. ET on DraftKings and FanDuel. The lineup picks will showcase elite players, mid-priced options, and value plays. You can also read more DFS advice and lineup picks for other sports here. Monitoring injury news and today's MLB starting lineups is always essential.
Top MLB DFS Pitcher for DraftKings, FanDuel
Joe Ryan, SP - MIN ($8.7K DK/$8.9K FD)
Joe Ryan is in a great spot tonight, pitching at home in Target Field. It will be below 40 degrees at first pitch tonight, making this great pitching weather. There will be a strong wind blowing out, but this park does a good job of mitigating it.
Joe Ryan opened with a seven-and-a-half strikeout prop. I bet his under, but for his price on both sites with a strikeout projection like that, he is going to smash. Ryan has a 4.04 xFIP, 25.9% K%, 12.7% SwStr%, and a 0.98 WHIP this season. The Reds have a 23.0% K% and a .598 OPS against RHP this season.
Ryan is projected for 5.90 Ks, and the Reds have a 3.8 implied run total, making this a great point per dollar play tonight.
Top MLB DFS Stack for DraftKings, FanDuel
Los Angeles Dodgers (Model Projected IRT (Implied Run Total)- 6.5) vs. Tomoyuki Sugano
The Los Angeles Dodgers will get a matchup at Coors Field and have a ridiculous 6.5 implied run total in my model. This is the highest projection to date for me, and whenever the best offense in baseball visits Coors Field, it is a very tough fade.
Tomoyuki Sugano has been solid in 2026, pitching to a 4.09 xFIP, 0.78 WHIP, 2.16 HR/9, and a 45.8% FB%. The problem here is that he is allowing a ton of fly balls, and now he will face an offense that has an .828 OPS and a 130 wRC+ against RHP this season.
I would advise eating the chalk here in this spot and getting the Dodgers in the lineups.
Favorite Targets: Teoscar Hernandez, Andy Pages, Freddie Freeman, Will Smith, Shohei Ohtani, Hyeseong Kim
Top MLB DFS Hitter for DraftKings, FanDuel
Corbin Carroll, OF - ARI ($6.1K DK/$4.2K FD)
The roof will be open tonight at Chase Field, and the Snakes get a friendly matchup against Eric Lauer. Lauer has allowed a .714 SLG, 20.0% Brl%, and a 40.0% Hard Hit% against LHH in 2026. I don't often target left on left, but the splits don't lie here, and Carroll is the hottest bat in this lineup against southpaws this year, slashing .400/.423/.800 with a 1.223 OPS.
