2 hours agoSeattle Seahawks wide receiver Jaxon Smith-Njigba's season-high 11 targets led the team in Thursday's loss to the Dallas Cowboys. The rookie ended the night with seven catches for 62 yards. The receptions also represented a new season-high, while the yardage fell one shy of his personal best set in Week 7 and matched in Week 9. Smith-Njigba almost brought in a 30-yard touchdown pass to boot, but it was overturned after review. His production has waned in the last couple of weeks after enjoying a mini-breakout following the Seahawks' Week 5 bye. Thursday's usage was a nice rebound and may signal that more work will come his way in Seattle's remaining games. Another big test awaits in Week 14, however, as the Seahawks have to tangle with the San Francisco 49ers for the second time in three weeks. In their matchup on Thanksgiving night, Smith-Njigba logged two catches for 41 yards.Source: NFL.com
2 hours agoSeattle Seahawks wide receiver Tyler Lockett caught five passes for 47 yards in Thursday's 41-35 loss to the Dallas Cowboys. The usually sure-handed veteran had a critical drop midway through the fourth quarter on what would have been a gain of at least 20 yards to move Seattle into the Cowboys' territory. Not much could be expected from Lockett ahead of the game given Dallas' successes on defense in 2023, but the fact that Lockett accomplished so little in the surprise shootout is disappointing. After 12 games, Lockett has logged a fantasy score in the double digits in PPR scoring just five times. Week 14 brings a rematch against the San Francisco 49ers who held Lockett to three catches for 30 yards on Thanksgiving night.Source: NFL.com
2 hours agoSeattle Seahawks wide receiver DK Metcalf caught six of his eight targets for 134 yards and three touchdowns in Thursday's loss to the Dallas Cowboys. The scores doubled his season output and all of them came when he was marked by top-graded cornerback DaRon Bland. The first touchdown was an impressive catch-and-run on Seattle's fourth play of the game when Metcalf beat his coverage over the middle and turned on the jets, taking the ball 73 yards to the end zone making it the longest play for either side in the contest. After a lackluster start to the season, Metcalf may be heating up just in time for the fantasy playoffs, garnering 94 yards or more in three of his last four games. Next on deck is a rematch against the San Francisco 49ers who held Metcalf to three catches for 32 yards on Thanksgiving.Source: NFL.com
2 hours agoSeattle Seahawks quarterback Geno Smith had an unexpected bounce-back against one of the league's toughest defenses. After the 49ers held him to 180 passing yards in Week 12, Smith went off against the Dallas Cowboys on Thursday, going 23-for-41 for 334 yards and three touchdowns. He added another six yards on two rushes, one of which was a five-yard dash for another score. The game wasn't without its miscues, however. Smith gave up an interception to DaRon Bland (who did NOT run it back for a pick-six) and while he avoided being sacked all game, he made several errant throws in the final five minutes while under heavy pressure from the Cowboys' pass rush. The Seahawks now have a mini-bye before their Week 14 rematch against San Francisco, where Smith will hope to build off of this performance and salvage Seattle's playoff chances.Source: NFL.com
5 hours agoCleveland Browns defensive end Myles Garrett (shoulder) missed practice for the second day in a row on Thursday, but he worked out on the sideline and still expects to play in Week 13's game against the Los Angeles Rams, per the Elyria Chronicle-Telegram's Scott Petrak. Garrett "felt something pop" in his left shoulder amid Week 12's rough 29-12 loss to the Denver Broncos, which left his arm in a sling during the postgame press conference. Garrett's caliber may allow him to not require much practice to suit up and play some allotment of snaps, but IDP fantasy managers will want to see the 27-year-old two-time All-Pro pass-rusher at Friday's session in some capacity to instill some confidence that he'll indeed be active on Sunday. Garrett ranks third in sacks (13), quarterback pressures (51), and tackles for loss (12) among edge rushers this year. QB Matthew Stafford's outlook would greatly enhance if Garrett is unable to go.Source: ESPN
6 hours agoThe Dallas Cowboys defense struggled in a Week 13 win over the Seattle Seahawks on Thursday Night Football. They ultimately did just enough to win the game by a 41-35 score, but recorded just one sack and one interception while allowing the 35 points. In standard scoring defense leagues, that's a fantasy score of negative three. The Cowboys defense came into the game with a fairly high rank, but the Seahawks were able to move the ball very well and gave the Cowboys a challenge throughout the night. A matchup against the Eagles awaits, which should be another tough matchup for Dallas.Source: ESPN.com
6 hours agoSeattle Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll called running back Zach Charbonnet's (knee) injury a bruised knee after the rookie banged it on the turf in the fourth quarter of Thursday's game against the Dallas Cowboys. It's unclear when the injury occurred, but Charbonnet was not seen back on the field again after entering the medical tent and the locker room thereafter. Seattle quickly deemed Charbonnet doubtful to return, despite the back-and-forth nature of the eventual 41-35 loss. The 22-year-old second-round pick enjoyed the best display of his young career before exiting, rushing 19 times for 60 yards and a touchdown with a 39-yard screen catch on the final play of the third period. The Seahawks have a mini bye on tap, with their next game coming on Dec. 10 for a pivotal divisional tilt against the San Francisco 49ers in Week 14. With Kenneth Walker III (oblique) also ailing, DeeJay Dallas is the next man up on the backfield depth chart.Source: John Boyle - Seahawks.com
6 hours agoDallas Cowboys wide receiver Michael Gallup has had a tough season, but may have hit rock bottom in a Week 13 win against the Seattle Seahawks. Gallup was targeted just once and was unable to make the catch in a game where quarterback Dak Prescott threw the ball 41 times. Any lineups with Gallup in them got a zero from that position and might as well have left the roster spot open. In almost all leagues, Gallup should be dropped or left alone on the waiver wire.Source: ESPN.com
6 hours agoDallas Cowboys wide receiver Brandin Cooks scored a touchdown in a Week 13 win over the Seattle Seahawks on Thursday Night Football. Cooks was targeted four times and made all four catches, gaining 45 yards and scoring a touchdown. His touchdown came on a seven-yard pass from Dak Prescott in the second quarter and was his second game in a row finding the end zone. Cooks was incredibly inconsistent earlier in the season, but he's been a solid fantasy option in three of the past four games, and should continue going forward as a WR2/3 depending on the matchup.Source: ESPN.com
6 hours agoDallas Cowboys tight end Jake Ferguson had a big game in a Week 13 win over the Seattle Seahawks. Ferguson was targeted eight times, making six catches for 77 yards and a touchdown. His score came on a 12-yard pass from quarterback Dak Prescott in the fourth quarter that gave the Cowboys the lead for good. Ferguson had a few down weeks recently, but this is almost sure to be another TE1 week, and he should be in those ranks more often than not going forward.Source: ESPN.com
6 hours agoDallas Cowboys wide receiver CeeDee Lamb had another huge game in a Week 13 win over the Seattle Seahawks. Lamb was targeted 17 times, making 12 catches for 116 yards and a touchdown. He added two rushes for 30 yards as well. Lamb's touchdown came on a 15-yard pass from Dak Prescott in the first quarter and started what is sure to be another WR1 week for Lamb. He'll remain a fantasy WR1 throughout the rest of the season in a suddenly elite Dallas offense.Source: ESPN.com
6 hours agoDallas Cowboys running back Rico Dowdle remained in the backseat behind starter Tony Pollard in a Week 13 win over the Seattle Seahawks. Dowdle ran the ball five times, gaining 15 yards and added one catch for seven more yards. His six touches didn't come close to Pollard's 23. The gap that seemed to be closing between the two running backs a few weeks ago has now widened again, leaving Dowdle as little more than a direct backup in fantasy formats and no longer a starting option in the majority of formats.Source: ESPN.com
6 hours agoDallas Cowboys running back Tony Pollard scored another touchdown in a Week 13 win over the Seattle Seahawks. Pollard has now scored in three straight games and has quickly shot back into the fantasy RB1 ranks after a rough start to the season. In this game, Pollard ran the ball 20 times for 68 yards and added three catches on four targets for an additional 15 yards. His touchdown came on a six-yard run in the third quarter, and now that he's turned things back on, he should be a solid RB1 option most weeks going forward.Source: ESPN.com
6 hours agoDallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott played well again in a Week 13 win over the Seattle Seahawks on Thursday Night Football. Prescott attempted 41 passes, completing 29 of them for 299 yards and three touchdowns. He took four sacks but did not commit any turnovers, adding 23 yards on seven carries in another great game for the Dallas offense. Fantasy managers in 300-yard bonus leagues would have loved to see one more passing yard, but the three touchdowns are a nice consolation prize.Source: ESPN.com
7 hours agoIndianapolis Colts wide receiver Isaiah McKenzie (toe) went from not practicing at all with the team on Wednesday to being a full participant in Thursday's session. If he puts in another full practice day on Friday, he should be fine to play in Week 13 against the Titans in Tennessee. The 28-year-old pass-catcher shouldn't be in any starting fantasy, though, in what should be more of a defensive division battle. Besides, McKenzie hasn't had a very big role in the Colts' offense in 2023. The former Georgia Bulldog is essentially the No. 4 wideout behind Michael Pittman Jr., rookie Josh Downs and Alec Pierce. McKenzie hasn't scored and has only 11 catches (14 targets) for 82 yards in 11 games. He hasn't caught a single pass in five separate games.Source: Indianapolis Colts
