10 hours agoLas Vegas Raiders quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo is ready to begin a new chapter in his career. He spent last offseason and regular season fending off trade speculation and eventually emerged as the 49ers starting quarterback after Trey Lance (ankle) sufferedread more...

11 hours agoBuffalo Bills safety Damar Hamlin hopes to return, and the team pledges to help him while being mindful of the risk. Speaking to NFL Network's Judy Battista, head coach Sean McDermott indicated that the franchise has already discussed the mental and emotional components of playing again with Hamlin. "The best thing we can do is support him all the way through this," commented McDermott. "I'm ready to support him in any direction he decides to go, even if it's last minute." The 25-year-old appeared in 15 games last season, totaling 91 tackles and 1.5 sacks. However, he went into cardiac arrest after making a tackle during a Monday Night Football meeting with the Cincinnati Bengals in January and was placed on life support. Fortunately, he's now out of the hospital and appears healthy. With that said, there will be a lot of hurdles to get over before Hamlin is back on the field, so his availability for the 2023-24 campaign (and beyond) is up in the air.--Dennis Clausen - RotoBallerSource: Mike Florio

12 hours agoLos Angeles Chargers running back Austin Ekeler has been vocal this offseason about his contract situation. Although the team reportedly permitted the Pro Bowler to seek a trade, head coach Brandon Staley provided an update. "We've been in full communication with his team," commented Staley while speaking to NFL Network's Steve Wyche on Sunday. "We want him to be a Charger." Of course, Staley's comment about retaining Ekeler is a no-brainer, considering the 27-year-old totaled 1,637 rushing and receiving yards while combining for 18 touchdowns during the 2022-23 campaign. He's entering the final year of his contract and is due to make $6.25 million. But Ekeler has also openly expressed his desire to remain in Los Angeles, so the ball now appears to be in the office's hands.--Dennis Clausen - RotoBallerSource: Charean Williams

12 hours agoDenver Broncos wide receiver Courtland Sutton has been a name in the news during the offseason. Many clubs have apparently expressed interest. However, at the Annual League Meeting, Sean Payton reiterated that the wideout isn't on the market. The 27-year-old had 1,112 receiving yards and six touchdowns in 2019 while earning a trip to the Pro Bowl. Yet, he suffered a knee injury the following year and hasn't been as productive over the last two seasons. With Denver reportedly looking for picks ahead of the 2023 NFL Draft, Payton's stance may change if the team receives an attractive offer. It's also worth noting Payton indicated he Jerry Jeudy won't be moved, either. But there's a recent story from ESPN's Jeff Legwold linking Jeudy to New England, so stay tuned.--Dennis Clausen - RotoBallerSource: Bobby Kownack

13 hours agoDenver Broncos wide receiver Jerry Jeudy remains in the news. Despite months of trade speculation, head coach Sean Payton reaffirmed that the 23-year-old isn't on the market, a comment he made to NFL Network's Tom Pelissero during the Annual League Meeting. However, ESPN's Jeff Legwold reported the opposite while adding that the Patriots may be the favorite to acquire the wideout. Per Legwold, New England could be willing to move some picks, something Denver has reportedly been looking for in return. Jeudy had the best year of his career in 2022, finishing with 67 catches for 972 yards and six touchdowns. He was also teammates with Mac Jones at Alabama, which has provided more traction to this story. The Broncos have until May 1 to pick up Jeudy's fifth-year option, although there should be more updates and rumors moving ahead.--Dennis Clausen - RotoBallerSource: Justin Leger

16 hours agoWhile speaking to NFL Network's Judy Battista, head coach Sean McDermott admitted he's "absolutely nervous" about the amount of hits quarterback Josh Allen took last season. "I don't think that's a healthy way to play QB in this league," McDermott said. "We haveread more...

17 hours agoKansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes (ankle) continues to work his way back from a high-ankle sprain suffered during the postseason. 17 hours agoKansas City Chiefs head coach Andy Reid expects wide receiver Skyy Moore to "step up" this season. The wideout had plenty of hype entering the 2022-23 campaign, his inaugural season in the league. However, he finished the year with only 22 catches for 250 yards while being held without a touchdown. Of course, Patrick Mahomes had more than enough pass-catchers at his disposal, with Travis Kelce remaining his preferred target. But with JuJu Smith-Schuster and Mecole Hardman now gone via free agency, the door is open for Moore to benefit. With that said, this isn't the first time we've heard a coach talk about the anticipated progression of a player. Yet, Reid has mentioned the 2022 second-round pick a lot this offseason, which is never bad for fantasy purposes.--Dennis Clausen - RotoBallerSource: Christian Gonzales

1 day agoFree-agent linebacker Krys Barnes agreed to a one-year deal with the Cardinals. He has spent his three-year career in Green Bay, totaling 190 tackles and three sacks (35 games). However, he played only six games last season because of an ankle injury. That said, the 24-year-old likely won't have any IDP value in 2023-24. But the acquisition of Barnes is a step in the right direction for the Cardinals defense, a squad that needed an off-ball linebacker.--Dennis Clausen - RotoBallerSource: Charean Williams

1 day agoFree-agent wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. remains unsigned after holding a private workout at the beginning of March. While several teams have reportedly expressed interest, with the Jets, Giants, and Bills rumored to be in the hunt, it appears the Chiefs haven't ruled out adding the wideout, either. "Odell is a good football player," stated head coach Andy Reid, who responded to a question from NFL Network's Steve Wyche during an interview on Saturday morning. "Yeah, he does a nice job. So, we'll see how all that goes." Beckham has totaled 531 catches for 7,367 yards and 56 touchdowns throughout his career. He spent his most recent season with the Rams. But he tore his ACL in Super Bowl LVI and hasn't played since. Nevertheless, this won't be the last we hear about Beckham moving ahead. However, Kansas City could be an ideal landing spot for the 30-year-old, considering the team lost JuJu Smith-Schuster and Mecole Hardman to free agency.--Dennis Clausen - RotoBallerSource: Mike Florio

1 day agoFree-agent offensive lineman Kyle Fuller has agreed to a deal with the Broncos. The 29-year-old has bounced around the league since being taken in the seventh round of the 2017 NFL Draft, making stops in Houston, Washington, and Miami before landing in Seattle. He played the last three seasons with the Seahawks, including two with quarterback Russell Wilson. It's no secret the Broncos offensive line was a disaster during the 2022-23 campaign. While the acquisition isn't as significant as some of the other moves the team has made to improve the line, Fuller's presence provides much-needed depth, which is good news for Wilson.--Dennis Clausen - RotoBallerSource: Charean Williams

1 day agoFree-agent linebacker Bobby Wagner agreed to a one-year, $7 million deal with Seattle on Saturday. The 2012 second-round pick spent his entire career with the Seahawks before his release in March 2022. He then inked a lucrative multi-year agreement with the Rams. However, his tenure in Los Angeles would be short-lived, with both sides mutually parting ways after only one season. But now, he'll return to the Seahawks, a team committed to improving things on the defensive end. Wagner, who has 1,523 total tackles, 29.5 sacks, and 13 interceptions on his resume, is an eight-time Pro Bowler and six-time All-Pro. Without a doubt, the 32-year-old will be welcomed back with open arms, and his presence should make the Seahawks defense more attractive to fantasy managers.--Dennis Clausen - RotoBallerSource: Mike Florio

2 days agoAccording to NFL Media's Tom Pelissero, tight end Zach Gentry will remain with the Steelers. Gentry, a 2019 fifth-round pick, has appeared in 38 games for Pittsburgh in the last four seasons, compiling 39 catches for 303 yards. While the Steelers will get a familiar face back in the mix, his minimal statistical contributions over the years won't mean much from a fantasy standpoint. Gentry's return also won't negatively impact Pat Freiermuth, who should continue to operate as the undisputed No. 1 tight end on the depth chart.--Dennis Clausen - RotoBallerSource: Tom Pelissero

2 days agoFree-agent defensive end Calais Campbell has upcoming visits with the Bills and Jets. The veteran, who was released by the Ravens this offseason in a cost-cutting move, has already made stops in Atlanta and Jacksonville as he looks to continue his career in the National Football League. He finished last season with 36 total tackles and a respectable 5.5 sacks in 14 appearances. However, he's battled injuries over the years and seen a decline in production. While Campbell's best days are likely behind him, he may have a few more potent performances left in the tank and should provide value to any defensive squad during the 2023-24 campaign.--Dennis Clausen - RotoBallerSource: Chaurean Williams

2 days agoAccording to ESPN's Jeremy Fowler, the Cardinals are looking for a "Christian McCaffrey package" for wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins. In October, the Panthers received a 2023 second, third, and fourth-round pick (and a 2024 fifth-round selection) from San Francisco for McCaffrey. However, factoring in Hopkins' age and hefty salary, getting a similar deal in return may prove difficult for the rebuilding Cardinals. That said, Hopkins has been one of the league's most productive wideouts during his career, amassing 853 catches for 11,298 yards and 71 touchdowns, so he will naturally draw interest from teams needing to fill a void on offense. But also considering the All-Pro appeared in just 19 games over the last two seasons because of injuries and a suspension, resulting in a decline in production, it will be interesting to see if any club is willing to adhere to Arizona's rumored demand.--Dennis Clausen - RotoBallerSource: Jeremy Fowler
