4 hours agoUtah Jazz guard/forward Ochai Agbaji led the squad with a career-high 27 points as the team defeated Sacramento on Monday 128-120. He shot 8-for-14 from the field, including 6-for-10 from downtown, and picked up five rebounds with three assists and one block. The 22-year-old has ridden the bench hard for most of his rookie campaign, but he has come to relevance in recent weeks, with the Jazz having seen a number of players drop out of the lineup with injuries. Monday marked Agbaji's ninth consecutive start, and he has averaged 12.7 points, 2.0 rebounds and 1.5 assists in 11 total starts this season.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBallerSource: ESPN

4 hours agoSacramento Kings point guard De'Aaron Fox posted a game-high 37 points on 14-for-21 shooting in Monday's 128-120 loss to the Jazz. The 25-year-old produced a sensational performance, but the Kings lost the first quarter 40-19 and it was an uphill battle since. Fox nailed six three-point bombs with nine attempts and capped off his line with four rebounds, seven assists and one steal, committing just one turnover in 36 minutes. There have been a couple of quiet outings from Fox lately, but he is still averaging 28.3 since the All-Star break, hitting 55 percent from the field.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBallerSource: ESPN

4 hours agoGolden State Warriors point guard Stephen Curry produced a good all-around performance as the team snapped an 11-game road losing streak with a 121-108 victory in Houston. He led all scorers with 30 points and notched seven rebounds, five assists, two steals and one block in 36 minutes of action. Curry was 5-for-15 with the three-ball and 10-for-23 overall from the field. The Warriors have been shockingly poor on the road, but Curry actually averages more points on the travels than at home, upping his numbers from 28.9 to 30.5. The defending champions are in Dallas next and then head home for four consecutive games.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBallerSource: ESPN

4 hours agoNew York Knicks power forward Julius Randle was on fire against the Timberwolves on Monday, but his career-high 57 points didn't save the team from another home loss. Minnesota simply didn't have an answer for him and Randle already had 26 points by halftime. He quickly added 26 more points to his tally after the break, setting a new team record for the most points in a quarter. Randle finished with 19-for-29 shooting from the field and hit 8-for-14 from deep, becoming the first Knicks player to reach the 50-point plateau since Carmelo Anthony had a franchise-record 62 points in 2014.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBallerSource: ESPN

4 hours agoMinnesota Timberwolves forward Taurean Prince came out of nowhere to hit a season-high 35 points Monday against the Knicks, leading the team to a 140-134 road victory. Anthony Edwards (ankle) missed a second consecutive game, so there have suddenly been a lot more shooting opportunities for others and Prince took full advantage of it on Monday. He finished a fantastic 8-for-8 from deep and missed only one of his 13 total attempts from the field. Price, whose career-high stands at 38 points, completed his damage with five rebounds and two assists. The 28-year-old will hope to replicate his Monday's effort against his former team, the Hawks, on Wednesday, although Prince is set to lose most of his fantasy appeal if Edwards returns.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBallerSource: ESPN
Share:
5 hours agoPhiladelphia 76ers power forward Joel Embiid strengthened his MVP case with a 37-point, 16-rebound double-double in Monday's 109-105 double-overtime loss to Chicago. This was a very low-scoring contest for a game that needed two overtimes to decide the winner, but Embiid still crushed it and racked up the stats. He added an assist, a steal and three blocks to his tally, shooting 11-for-22 from the field and 15-for-17 at the foul line. The Process has now gone for at least 30 points in 10 straight games. He will look to eat against the Bulls again on Wednesday.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBallerSource: ESPN
Share:
5 hours agoCharlotte Hornets center Nick Richards posted a nice 14-point, 17-rebound double-double as the team beat Indiana on Monday 115-109. The Pacers have an intimidating figure in the paint in Myles Turner, but the team has struggled against centers all season and Richards also took advantage of the situation, bouncing back well from a nightmare he had against Philadelphia in the previous game. Richards shot 5-for-7 from the field and completed his work for the night with one assist and two blocks. The 25-year-old made a fifth consecutive start and has averaged 9.4 points with 9.4 rebounds and 2.4 blocks over that span.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBallerSource: ESPN

15 hours agoDetroit Pistons center Jalen Duren (neck) won't play on Tuesday against Atlanta. The rookie has whiplash, an injury he occurred during Sunday's meeting with Miami. Considering the Pistons' season is unofficially finished, fantasy managers may not see Duren back on the court for the remainder of the year. Nevertheless, James Wiseman will continue to receive plenty of work at the five spot. The former Warrior has averaged 14.5 points, 9.6 rebounds, and 1.1 blocks in 12 starts this season, so he has appeal in every fantasy format.--Dennis Clausen - RotoBallerSource: NBA Injury Report
Share:
16 hours agoSan Antonio Spurs guard Tre Jones (hamstring) is listed as doubtful to play Tuesday against the New Orleans Pelicans. Jones has been in and out of the lineup and the Spurs are entering a back-to-back set of games which could be contributing to Jones sitting. Devonte' Graham (quad) is listed as questionable for Tuesday and would be the main benefactor if he is able to play. Otherwise, Malaki Branham should see a hefty amount of minutes.--Dale JohnsonSource: NBA Injury Report
Share:
16 hours agoSan Antonio Spurs center Zach Collins (rest) will sit out Tuesday's game against the New Orleans Pelicans. Collins is resting back-to-backs for the remainder of the season and will not play the first leg of the Tuesday-Wednesday games. Charles Bassey (knee) remains out for the season so Sandro Mamukelashvili should get the spot start. Mamukelashvili recorded 10 points and seven rebounds in 33 minutes in his last start.--Dale JohnsonSource: NBA Injury Report
Share:
16 hours agoAtlanta Hawks guard Dejounte Murray (illness) is questionable for Tuesday's game versus the Detroit Pistons. Murray is feeling under the weather with a non-COVID illness and will likely see how he feels during pregame warm ups. If Murray is unable to play, Trae Young should see massive usage while Bogdan Bogdanovic and AJ Griffin get a boost in playing time.--Dale JohnsonSource: NBA Injury Report
Share:
16 hours agoBrooklyn Nets forward Dorian Finney-Smith (wrist) is listed as questionable to play Tuesday versus the Cleveland Cavaliers. Finney-Smith is dealing with a wrist contusion in his shooting hand and may miss his first game since joining the Nets. If Finney-Smith is unable to go, look for a committee of Royce O'Neale, Yuta Watanabe and Seth Curry to pick up the slack.--Dale JohnsonSource: NBA Injury Report
Share:
16 hours agoMemphis Grizzlies guard Dillon Brooks picked up his 18th technical foul of the season Monday night and will be suspended for Wednesday's game against the Houston Rockets if the technical is not rescinded. Brooks scored on a dunk and taunted the Dallas Mavericks bench Monday which prompted the technical foul. If Brooks is ultimately suspended, Luke Kennard, David Roddy and John Konchar should all see increased minutes. Brooks leads the league in technical fouls this season.--Dale JohnsonSource: Tim MacMahon
Share:
16 hours agoCleveland Cavaliers center Jarrett Allen (eye) is listed as questionable to play versus the Brooklyn Nets on Tuesday. Allen has been recovering from an eye contusion after taking a hit to the face last week and was finally able to go through a full practice with the team. If Allen is able to return, Lamar Stevens will likely head back to the bench and lose most, if not all, of his short-term fantasy value.--Dale JohnsonSource: NBA Injury Report
Share:
16 hours agoOrlando Magic guard Jalen Suggs (concussion) will not play Tuesday against the Washington Wizards. Suggs continues to deal with a concussion and is still in the league's protocols. Cole Anthony should continue to get extra run off the bench and has scored in double digits for five straight games. Suggs will need to be cleared from the concussion protocols before he can return to action.--Dale JohnsonSource: NBA Injury Report
