Zack Cozart Says He's Ready For Season
6 years agoLos Angeles Angels third baseman Zack Cozart, who missed the second half of 2018 after having surgery to repair a torn labrum in his left shoulder, said he's feeling healthy and should be ready for Opening Day. "Honestly, if today was Day 1 of the actual season, I could play," Cozart said Tuesday. He also said he's been hitting since December and has been working defensively at second and third base. Cozart hit just .219/.296/.362 with five homers and 18 RBI in 58 games before his injury, so fantasy owners are probably ignoring him in mixed leagues even though he'll be a starter either at second or third base in 2019.
