Zach Ertz Could Have Some Value In Week 17
4 years agoPhiladelphia Eagles tight end Zach Ertz could have some solid TE2 value with touchdown upside in a Week 17 game against the Washington Football Team. Ertz ended up running more pass routes than fellow Eagles tight end Dallas Goedert in Week 16, and he saw seven targets to Goedert's three. That pattern is unlikely to repeat, but it still shows that the Eagles are trying to involve both of their tight ends into the offensive game plan. That could be even more the case in Week 17 since the Washington defense is excellent against running backs and wide receivers but only average at best against tight ends. Ertz hasn't done much since returning from his injury (nine catches in four games), but he could wrap up the year with his biggest game in a while. He's a TE2 who could sneak into the lower TE1 ranks if a few things go his way.
