Yordan Alvarez Back In Thursday's Lineup
1 year agoHouston Astros outfielder/designated hitter Yordan Alvarez (finger) is serving as the designated hitter and batting cleanup on Thursday against the visiting Boston Red Sox and right-hander Brayan Bello. Alvarez slammed his left index finger in a door at home and missed the last two games, but he's back in there on Thursday and should be returned to all starting fantasy lineups. The 26-year-old Cuban slugger hasn't homered since Aug. 6, going 17-for-68 (.250) in the month of August with two home runs, two doubles, a triple, nine RBI and 11 runs scored in 18 starts. Alvarez has missed valuable time with injuries, but he remains one of the most dangerous bats in baseball when he's in the lineup.
