2 years agoChicago White Sox third baseman Yoan Moncada (rib) is being listed as day-to-day with a bruised rib that he suffered in an outfield collision while playing for Team Cuba in the World Baseball Classic against Team USA. Moncada avoided a concussion after colliding with teammate Luis Robert Jr. on Sunday evening. Both Moncada and Robert are expected to fly back on Tuesday and be in camp with the White Sox on Wednesday. It remains to be seen when the 27-year-old will get back into a game in the Cactus League, but he's unlikely to need to start the season on the injured list. Moncada had his worst season in 2022 and has battled injuries in recent seasons, but he's still young and could be a nice value pick to rebound in 2023.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
