Yanquiel Fernandez Continues To Stay Hot Through July
Colorado Rockies outfield prospect Yanquiel Fernandez has continued to stay hot in the batter's box through July through his second look at Double-A ball. Since July 1, the number 66th ranked prospect on MLB.com has held a stellar .341/.396/.545 line with two home runs and a 4:10 BB:K ratio. This is a significant improvement over the mediocre .247/.314/.403 line he held through June. Overall in 74 games at Double-A Hartford, the 21-year-old sits with a .279/.335/.430 slash line, eight home runs, 43 RBI, and a 22:55 BB:K ratio. Last summer, in his first 56 games at the Double-A level, he posted a mere .206 AVG. Fernandez has continued to improve at Double-A and is nearing a promotion to Triple-A. The number three-ranked prospect in the Colorado system remains on track to meet his 2025 major league ETA.
