Yankees Among Teams Looking At Bryan Reynolds
The New York Yankees are among the teams in contact with the Pittsburgh Pirates on outfielder Bryan Reynolds in recent weeks, according to sources. One obstacle to a trade is that the Pirates prefer starting pitchers to headline a return, and the top end of the Yankees' system is much deeper in position players. Reynolds has already requested a trade this offseason, but the Pirates previously said they had no plans to grant his request. It looks like their tune has changed a bit now, but it doesn't mean that they'll be able to get what they want for the 27-year-old in order to justify dealing him. Reynolds, an All-Star in 2021 for the first time in his career, has slugged 51 home runs in the last two seasons while also slashing .283/.368/.492 with an .861 OPS, 152 RBI, 167 runs and 12 stolen bases. His fantasy appeal would receive a big boost if he landed in the Bronx.
