Yankees Among Teams Looking At Bryan Reynolds
2 years agoThe New York Yankees are among the teams in contact with the Pittsburgh Pirates on outfielder Bryan Reynolds in recent weeks, according to sources. One obstacle to a trade is that the Pirates prefer starting pitchers to headline a return, and the top end of the Yankees' system is much deeper in position players. Reynolds has already requested a trade this offseason, but the Pirates previously said they had no plans to grant his request. It looks like their tune has changed a bit now, but it doesn't mean that they'll be able to get what they want for the 27-year-old in order to justify dealing him. Reynolds, an All-Star in 2021 for the first time in his career, has slugged 51 home runs in the last two seasons while also slashing .283/.368/.492 with an .861 OPS, 152 RBI, 167 runs and 12 stolen bases. His fantasy appeal would receive a big boost if he landed in the Bronx.
