X-Rays Negative On Ha-Seong Kim
2 years agoX-rays came back negative on San Diego Padres infielder Ha-Seong Kim's left knee, according to manager Bob Melvin. Kim is still doubtful to play on Friday for the series opener in the Bronx against the New York Yankees, but he might be able to avoid an injured-list stint. The 27-year-old was helped off the field by two team trainers after he fouled a ball off his left knee early in Thursday's contest against the Washington Nationals, but he may have avoided a serious injury. With Manny Machado (hand) still on the injured list, Rougned Odor, who had a crucial go-ahead home run and five RBI in Thursday's win, is likely to draw the start at the hot corner for the Friars on Friday. Kim continues to play regularly for the Padres in 2023 and is hitting .237 (36-for-152) with seven doubles, five home runs, 16 RBI and six steals in 46 games.
