Wyatt Davis Becomes Yet Another Vikings Third-Rounder
4 years agoThe Minnesota Vikings selected Ohio State offensive lineman Wyatt Davis with the No. 86 overall pick in the third round of the 2021 NFL draft on Friday night. Davis is a balanced interior blocker. The 6-foot-4, 315-pounder wasn't as good last year as he was in 2019, but his athleticism should serve him well in the NFL and he fits the Vikings scheme well. If not for recurring knee issues in college, he likely wouldn't come off the draft board in the second round as a strong run blocker. Davis is ferocious at the point of attack and should profile as an immediate starter. It's very good news for running back Dalvin Cook in Minnesota.
