Win Streak Snapped for David Rittich on Saturday
5 years agoCalgary Flames goaltender David Rittich held the Blues to two goals in regulation Saturday night before conceding the game-winning goal in overtime. Rittich made 25 saves on 28 shots but was able to lock down the St. Louis offensive attack in the third period, giving his team a chance to erase the two-goal deficit and force overtime. His save percentage in this game was less than stellar but was weighed down by a power-play goal and an overtime goal, making it seem worse than Rittich played. Having started 16 of Calgary's 20 games this season, Rittich is the clear number one option and will get every opportunity to start another win streak after seeing his four-game win streak ended Saturday night.
