Wilmer Flores Picks Up Three Hits In Losing Effort
2 years agoSan Francisco Giants infielder Wilmer Flores had a strong game in the 10-5 loss to the division-rival Los Angeles Dodgers on Wednesday night, going 3-for-5 with two RBI and a strikeout. Flores has been hot with the bat of late, but he's currently only been in San Francisco's lineup when a left-hander is on the mound. The 31-year-old Venezuelan veteran is hitting a strong .346 (9-for-26) with two doubles, two home runs, six RBI and six runs scored in his first nine games of the season. Perhaps his strong play to open the year will get him more playing time, but until that happens, he's tough to roster in shallow mixed leagues on the short side of a platoon at first base.
