Wilmer Flores Heading To San Francisco
5 years agoThe San Francisco Giants agreed to a multi-year deal with infielder Wilmer Flores on Tuesday, according to sources familiar with the deal. Flores hit .317/.361/.487 with the Diamondbacks in 2019 and could play either second base or a utility role for the Giants in 2020. He'll be competing with the likes of Mauricio Dubon, Donovan Solano and Yolmer Sanchez at the keystone, so it wouldn't be far-fetched to see Flores see significant time at second base. The 28-year-old is a career .268/.310/.432 hitter with 77 home runs and 290 RBI in seven years with the Mets and Diamondbacks. Flores could provide nice multi-position eligibility for fantasy owners in deep mixed and NL-only leagues if he sees enough at-bats.
