7 months agoTexas Rangers outfielder Willie Calhoun looks likely to open the season in Triple-A. The Rangers would ideally like to keep both Calhoun and fellow outfielder Hunter Pence around. However, to do that one will need to go to Triple-A, and Calhoun is the only one with options available. Calhoun has not helped himself by hitting a miserable .190 in 42 spring training at-bats. Following a .222 batting average last season the Rangers will have been hoping that Calhoun would force his hand, but that has not happened. At some point this season it is almost a certainty we will see Calhoun in the majors, but the unknown when it comes to a timetable means that Calhoun should not be owned outside of the deepest of leagues.--Ben Rolfe - RotoBaller
