Willians Astudillo Tests Positive For COVID-19
4 years agoMinnesota Twins catcher Willians Astudillo is one of the Twins players to test positive for COVID-19 upon his arrival to summer camp. Astudillo has been quarantined and is asymptomatic. Minor leaguers Edwar Colina and Nick Gordon tested positive before arriving, so they are not in camp. Colina is the team's No. 16 prospect, while Gordon comes in at No. 17, per MLB Pipeline. Astudillo will need to test negative twice before being allowed out of quarantine and back into Twins camp, so it's unknown if he'll be ready for the start of the season. The 28-year-old makes a lot of contact and can give fantasy owners a useful average, but he won't provide much else and isn't a lock for consistent playing time. He'll only be in play in two-catcher and AL-only setups.
