Will Warren Sharp In Another Good July Start
5 months agoNew York Yankees pitching prospect Will Warren turned in another solid start for Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre on Thursday. The right-hander went six innings, giving up one run on two hits with eight strikeouts and one walk. The 25-year-old has turned in a nice July with a 2.91 ERA and 0.92 during the month. He has lowered his season-long ERA to 6.11. The ERA is a bit bloated for Warren this year, but he has been much better lately and has 115 strikeouts in 95 2/3 innings. The No. 7 prospect in the Yankees system, Warren offers upside with his strikeout rate but will need to show more consistency before being counted on as a fantasy option should he get called up.
