Will Dissly 2025 Fantasy Football Outlook: Could Lose TE1 Job To Rookie
Will Dissly was repeatedly helped by the coaching staff to be worked into the team's offense for the 2024 season. It didn't work out. Despite a gaping hole in the team's pass-catching depth chart, he struggled to do anything meaningful. He's good enough to be on an NFL roster, but the team drafted wide receiver Tre Harris and tight end Oronde Gadsden in the 2025 NFL Draft. Harris should easily demand significant targets as the clear WR2, while Gadsden could meaningfully challenge Dissly for his spot in the target hierarchy. Dissly played in 15 games, but caught under 500 yards receiving, with just two touchdowns. He didn't earn the targets he received -- rather, Los Angeles just had practically no other choices to throw the ball to. Even if wide receiver Quentin Johnston is truly a massive bust, the Chargers run-heavy offense should funnel as much volume to WR Ladd McConkey and its pair of rookie pass-catchers before they try to get Dissly heavily involved. He's not relevant except in deep dynasty leagues.
