The Chicago White Sox agreed to terms with Cuban right-hander Norge Vera on a deal that includes a $1.5 million signing bonus on Friday. The 20-year-old is No. 15 on MLB Pipeline's list of the top-30 international prospects. The White Sox also agreed with outfielder/first baseman Dario Borrero, right-handers Adrian Gil and Carlos Hinestroza, catcher Manuel Guariman, outfielder Carlos Jimenez and third baseman Victor Quezada on Friday. Vera is the son of Cuban star Norge Luis Vera and was declared a free agent by MLB last January after he defected in 2019. He possesses a fastball in the 94-97 mph range, and some talent evaluators think the 6-foot-4 prospect has future ace potential in the big leagues.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBallerRead More News
